Shale is the ambiguously gay human-hating golem I always wanted.

The only reason why Warden's Keep isn't completely worthless is because I can't be bothered to mod the game and add a few boxes to the camp. I bought it in good faith thinking that, even if it wasn't crucial to the plot, it would come up a few times after I cleared it and act as an actual camp, but this certainly doesn't make me look forward to any future DLC.

I have to say I'm disappointed in Warden's Keep as well. I was expecting something deeper, like the keep in NWN2. Well, maybe not that deep since this is DLC, but it still seems like a whole lot of wasted potential.

I have to agree. First thing I did was try to get inside to see how the refurbishing of the keep was coming along. Very disappointed that the keep is just a big old campfire in front. Sigh.

I thought it was 7 dollars well spent. I spent about 1-1:15 hours playing through the keep and I cleaned it out entirely.

I also got a pretty OP sword out of some superman ore.

There's a storage chest, a store, and a smithy.

Pretty good I say.

Definitely an enjoyable afternoon of playing, Alistair definitely looks a whole lot better with the Warden Commander's Armor and a heavy shield with the Warden logo on it.

Haven't gone back, but I wasn't expecting to walk in and find the place all put back together, since it is just a family that'll be using it. With 2 Wardens left and the world still being in crisis, I really don't see why this place should ever be fully opened up during normal game play.

Why wouldn't it be opened up - we just cleared the frigging place, ffs...

What does the superman ore have to do with the DLC?  I got it from a random travel encounter.  Seems unrelated to the Keep.

I just completed the Keep story.  Was a good story, though too short.  Not quite $7 worth though.  The armor looks great, but I don't think we want DLC to just mean "pay real money to buy in-game items".  And I didn't realize that I couldn't go back into the Keep.  Lame!  I still have the history quest to complete :-(

And I agree in terms of the advertisement.  They're really coming close to false advertisement.  They sold it as a new base of operations, and that sounded awesome.  Am a little disappointed that it's not integrated into the overall story, and that I can't go back to visit Avernus.

I really hope they open it up in a future patch, and let you continue quests and/or speak to Avernus!

The ore from the random encounter is tied to Warden's Keep. You wont experience that random encounter if you don't have the DLC.

I agree. At the very least put all the merchants (the two of them) and the party chest in the first large room when you walk in. Make it so you can still walk through the place. I don't care about it being refurbished (I sort of like it alll gone to seed). That way at least it would feel like it is your base of operations. Oh...and the two dwarf merchants at your original camp should be there.

I'm just miffed that I can't get back in to complete my codex, because I missed an entry of the Warden's Keep History. At the time I thought maybe that page would become available to me after the keep was cleaned up, but alas, looks like I'm going to have fly back in time to one of my really old saves.

I thought Warden's Keep was worth my investment for the Superman reference alone.

It was advertised as a base for the party. The whole point of the quest was to reclaim the keep for the Wardens. You can tell Avernus to keep researching ways to help the Wardens. And then you can never enter the Keep again once you've cleared it. You can't even go back to finish the quests. It's not worth anything near $7.

The next time DLC is released, I'm going to want to know exactly what's in it before I even consider buying it.

Yeah I was a little bummed out over implementation after the quest. I quite liked the story, but after you've completed it, its just a ghost town with some poor textured vendor stalls.

I thought it was cleaned up and ready to move into....

I also missed the last codex entry - but since I cant get in Ill have to wait for the next playthrough.

I did like the story myself but even the story was misleading. If you spare the mage it makes it sound like you can check on his research or even have opportunities for further quests but thats bunk.

I Really hope someone does a 'Warden's Keep Reborn' Mod, I doubt the lazy DLC Team is going to fix this mess. It really should have replaced the camp, that was how it sounded both in game and out.

Yea it was a disappointment. The story line was great and the fight in the tower very good with plenty of action but the results were not. I too thought we were getting what was advertised but not so. In addtion if you start a new game and use a different character you will find it broken. I got back inside like the first time but could not get past the door to talk with Sophia it keeps telling me that it can not be picked. I did not have that problem the first time through with my game play

I thought that it would be like the bases you can download with Oblivion. You have to restore them etc... At first I thought it was because of what I choose to do with Avernus so I went back and did it over again and it still wouldnt let me in. I thought it was pretty dumb, you cleared it out you should be able to go back into it and have set up as a base.

I actually like the DLC, the majority of it anyway. The Grey Warden Commander armour looks fantastic and can scale all the way up to dragon bone, so in my opinion the second best tanking gear in the game (king calains armour being the first). The whole superman thing, funny as hell when i first saw it, the random encounter to get the ore does not require the DLC, it just requires the DLC to use it. The lovely research comes in handy with no negative effects.

The one thing that annoys me, is not being able to go back inside. Why? Because i got all the history of the wardens codex pages then forgot to do the quest. Go me.
