Idea for EDI in ME3

EDI was one of my favorite additions to ME2. She is a really interesting character who I grew to care for just as much as any organic character (more than some actually). I hope that she returns in 3 and see no reason she shouldn't. My idea is to make it so that EDI can appear in human form ala the VI interfaces, but more detailed and lively. This way, you can be more engaged in her dialogue and she may even be able to be a squadmate. She could be an excellent hack/tech choice.
I just thought it was an interesting idea. What do you guys think?

Anyway, not a bad thought. She'd become essentially akin to Halo's AI Constructs which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The VI's from ME1 were okay. The one on Feros in ExoGeni was comical.

She seems to have great comedic AND dramatic potential since she was "released." Her naivete about organic life made me laugh already. On the other hand, her friendship with Joker could give some sweet moments and I can see a series of quests related to EDI trying to make sense of what she is. Being a self-aware computer would have to bring some interesting issues with it. "Am I alive?" for example. (This would be extremely appropriate considering who voices EDI

Sorry if this has already been thought of elsewhere. Don't mean to take up space, but I had an idea that I think would be really cool for EDI.

It would be a heck of alot nicer then speaking to a ball on a stick. And since EDI is an advanced AI it would be cool if
she could move around the ship, not just pop up at a terminal, but more functional like an extra crew member

Next you'll be asking for a possible romance, too...jdunn1 wrote...

and squadmate, while the idea is awesome, we already got an robot with 1,083 different people in it on our squad, seems pointless.

The closest thing I've seen to EDI in RL claims to not be alive but exists

Have her turn out to be a Cylon.
Something is going the way of weird. A romantic interest with a virtual interface based on virtual characters in a virtual world.
Rife with possibility or just plain creepy?

I don't really see the point of sticking her in a robot body, why would she even want that? She's a freaking starship right now!
