So, has the 1.03 patch completely screwed the game for anyone else?
I'm getting crashes all over the place now. Just random crashes during combat.
Crashing when the world map comes up.
Crashing when a cutscene starts.
Crashing when a plot scene starts.
What the hell happened?
Lots of crashy fun.

Hmm... I too am getting significantly more CTD's and lags with 1.03 than with 1.02, but more so with awakening than with origins. Awakening crashes just about every time my rogue uses the "flicker" talent, and it slows down significantly whenever there is a heavy action sequence. It's like the game is sucking up all of my system resources despite the fact my computer is like triple the recommended specs. If it gets worse, I'll have to play around with the video card settings some more.
Are you running any mods? Are your video card drivers up-to-date? What do you have the graphics settings set at?

are you on a ps3? if you are it's the recent Sony firmware update that makes Dragon age hang every few minutes. If not, no idea.

I started playing DAO after the 1.03 patch so got the patch automatically through Steam.
Right away I was plagued with crashes to desktop. My research to solve it
eventually led me to this thread http://social.biowar...58/index/189269
I'm running an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, so I tried the solution listed in #3, and
from then on it was smooth sailing. The only issue with it is that it's a workaround
that you have to do every time you start the game. But, considering how irritating
the constant crashes were, I didn't mind. I was just happy to solve it.
I can't guarantee it will help you, but it's worth looking into as it solved it for me.
Thanks goes to JironGhrad for posting that helpful thread.

CTDs and lag hasn't been a real issue for me. I got 1.03 immediately after it came out, and I've only had 3-4 CTDs and the lag is the same for me as it was in 1.02 In fact, I currently have no problems in 1.03 that I didn't have in 1.02, minus the 3-4 CTDs.
