Its driving me nuts, I have to keep restarting the game just to get my DLC to finally stop be unauthorized. Yes, Im logging in using this account, the same one I redeemed the codes and registered the game on but for some reason sometimes it takes a few shutting down and reloading the game to get to "authorized".   They really need to look into this.

There is no DRM in the game or the DLC.

Maybe you should stop using Steam and or D2D which is what is putting DRM on your computer.

No there is not! I don't need to check in with the game and or server every time I want to use my content, I already told the game I have it because of the promo code is linked to the account I bound it to.

The DLC promotional code requires Validating

Validating is not the same as Authentication either.

In this case Validating the promo code is nothing more of matching the code to an already existing pool of codes, and if it matches then it allows you access and deletes it out of the pool of codes



People in here obviously have no clue about what exactly DRM, stands for, what it is, or what it does.



DRM = Digital Rights management



USE = Stops Pirating by asking for a license for use.



DRM cannot be cracked which is why companies use it and you cannot find anyone with any information that has a way to crack it,



People that pirate do not crack the DRM, they simply decompile the exe file and rewrite/delete the command line that checks for the DRM. So the DRM gets by-passed, NOT CRACKED!

Yes, you do have to check with teh server. If you didnt there wouldnt be causes of people's content becoming "unauthorized" all of a sudden, and it wouldnt require you to log in with the proper EA account.

you dont have to login to use the dlc. other than the first time.

I haven't had any issues with DLC's with the retail version of the game - no matter logged in or not. Are you sure it's not problem with Impulse/Steam/D2D versions only?

I don't know about you guys but if I click "Resume" as soon as the main menu pops up(before the auto log in finishes) is says "Cannot load game because you are not connected to the server to load DLC".



Thats DRM if you ask me. Like you said, Digital Rights Management; they are using the server to manage my rights to access the digital media.

i have the retail and i can´t eaven get the dlc to show in the game menu under downloadble content, and i have redeemed on this account, "the activated codes" on this site says i have redeemed the codes, but i can´t dl the content

Yeah I have the same problem. Two codes registered..they show up in my browser profile but I cant download them ingame

Ummmm this is because the DLC is linked to your account not the game and it uses your account to check which DLC you have I think

I also have this problem and my copy is from a dvd not a digital download.

I have the retail copy as well and after entering the activation codes, I initially thought that nothing was available for download. For the minor items such as the blood dragon armour as well as the ring from the character creator, it seems that it went directly to downloading and was promptly listed under my list of installed content (so for those who did not see it listed under available content, try checking the tab for installed content). For larger downloads like the Stone Prisoner or Warden's Keep, I had to restart my client but it was fine after that.

Yes, I know. That is the DRM, this site we are using right now is the DRM system. Thats what I was trying to explain to the above posters who claim there is no DRM.

it dosen´t show up there ether or under avalable or in progress
have tried to log-out/log-in, restart, uppdate every thing you can imagine, i have mailed the support to
the only thing i haven´t done is to clear all downloaded data in the repair tab in the configure on the launcher

Despite the arguments over semantics the dlc authentication / rights management system in this game is obviously problematical for many people, hence the rather confusing faq in tech support, and it could definably do with repairing.

I'm not condoning it, but you fellas really need to get your heads out of the clouds if you think there is any form of protection regarding DLC.

More false information. Changing the "RequireAuthorization" from a 1 to a 0 will not work. Because unless the DLC was able to be authorized through contact with the EA servers, it will not work unless Authorized. Changing that flag will simply prevent it from checking for Authorization, it will not circument it.

Authorized DLCs add a heavily encrypted code to the profile.dap file in the Documents folder. This heavily encrypted code is from the EA servers and is saved in the file along with your email address in order to allow you to play offline only after the game has authorized the DLC at least once.

This is DRM in it's purest form.

That was my point. That split second when the menu first appears is the only time when the the server has not verified the account information(but the game knows it is online), hence you cannot use the content. That my friends is DRM. They also have an "offline" mode similar to the way steam works.

Personally I have no problems with the way they are handling the DRM. I just don't like it when people spread misinformation.
