Didn't have much problems with targeting, but I would really prefer a "Loot all" button to take all the stuff from corpses without opening each one of them. Like most Diablo-clones have. Looting corpses is definitely not the best feature.Elhanan wrote...
I am not too keen on finding small items like pieces of paper; pixel hunts are what these used to be called. While I utilize the Tab key frequently (NWN Vet), I still seem to have problems targetting these small glowing parts of debris.

I wonder why he is silent in DA1. Sheppard had a voice from the very beginning and 1st Mass Effect was release like 2 years ago.I don't see the silent hero returning for DA2. It's not an origins game, which cuts down on character possibilities, The hero being silent was a prominent complaint by most major reviewers, and EA will probably want them to cater to 'the masses' and duplicate Mass Effect's success and popularity.[which DAO fell short of.]

I see how an Archer would be boring, although I really, really, really love Scattershot
The Tactics system could definitely use some tweaks and improvements. While I do not own Awakening (and have no plan to, in the near future) I sympathise with you. That would majorly suck.
And about the dumb-mute protagonist.. I'm torn TBH. What if they gave the guy a voice that was absolutely jarring? Still, I reckon I could turn his sound off or something. Ideally, we would have had voice responses for all the voices in-game. But I think that is a little too expensive, and a luxury.

It all depends on how you build and play your rogue, however. I see my warrior NPCs as support characters, not vice versa. Apart from the mage's AoE, my PC rogue is the damage dealer of the party. The warrior draws enemies' attention so that I can run around and kill them.R-F wrote...
i've played all three classes to the end of the game and found all of them pretty fun. warriors are always my favourite because i like to be in the fray wearing the big armor and slaughtering my way through waves of enemies. mage and rogue were both fun but not until i got to specialize, before that i found them difficult to play, since i don't like playing support characters.
As for all this talk about Mass Effecting DA2 and making the PC voiced, please stop. You're going to make me weep.

In DA warriors are everything, but fun.
This is what my opinion is based on. Warriors in terms of game mechanics, are more or less just damned fine.. but holy **** are they ****ing boring.
It is for that very reason that my first time through I played a warrior, but once I learned the game, I branched out into the more "interesting" roles.

Lol, true. Jumping would be good. It's strange to see Superman, who can't even get over a simple obstacle.omearaee wrote...
I love my warrior... I tend to wonder why my characters can't jump. Such a simple thing...but seemingly impossible.

Love to have daggers with paralyze runes.

Oh, try to have somebody voice act EVERY line in this monster-sized game. Sure, you can afford that from a developer's point of view.
And now the rest of the origins, voice types and genders...

You ever played Mass Effect? This is a game of the same size and ALL characters have voices, each and every possible line, which a main hero can say.Avalla'ch wrote...

And now multiply it by 12+9 different voice types. See my point?
In ME it worked because you had only two characters. Male and female.

It would absolutely be enough to have human, elven and dwarven voices for both genders. No need to differ dalish from something else and stuff. So it's 6 versions. Considering that human and dwarven voices are pretty similar, they could just use pitching or any kind of voice coding. So it drops to 4 only - human/elven and dwarven for 2 genders. And it would be MUCH better than today's mute hobo.Patriciachr34 wrote...
Yes, but ME has only 1 pc. You get a human commander. You can change their skill set and gender, but you cannot change their race. This is why I did not initially purchase ME. Try getting voice actors, male and female, for humans, dwarves, city elves, and dalish elves, and mages of various races. This would have added significant cost and delays in release. IT would also significantly increase the size of the game. How many GB's do you have on your hard drive?

Warriors are as good as the person playing them. if you stink..they stink. I suggest, in that case, playing a mage..probably more for ya.

i dual wield with a warrior and he kicks some serious ass. i don't go crazy with dex. i put it in strength and con. he's a semi-tank. heavy armor, dual swords, and loads of health to take the pounding. the problem with a rogue is if you power up the rogue abilities it takes longer to get the weapon abilities. i only do just enough dex with my warrior to get all dual wield skills.Monkeypasta wrote...
Why the hell do you want to make a DW warrior, when you have a rogue? :-)Suron wrote...
again your points make no sense...a DW Warrior has dex just like a rogue....sword/shield can't be flanked..etc..
Please, play something else, not just DA. You'll learn about classic warior, not this crap from teenager's dreams.
As for flanking - it's not that good. Too bad you can't set up a duel with trained rogue. Guarantee you a good nice blow.
