I had some time, found that stupid piece of crap that EA offers, and
checked it against the (practical) requirements.  The official require-
ments were garbage with regard to the video cards, having the same
card as both minimum as well as unsupported, typical EA foolishness.

Minimum System Requirements for Mass Effect on the PC

Operating System:
Windows XP or Vista
(Easy Info claimed that the OS requirement was "Nothing Specific")

Processor:
2.4+GHZ Intel or 2.0+GHZ AMD
(Easy Info doesn't know anything about The AMD X2 Dual Core CPUs)

Memory:
1 Gigabyte Ram (XP)
2 Gigabyte Ram (Vista)

Video Card:
NVIDIA GeForce 6 series (6800GT or better: 7200, 7300, 7400, 7500, 7600
GS, 8400 GS, 8500, & 9300 are below minimum system requirements)
ATI Radeon X1800 GTO (X1300, X1300 Pro, X1300 XT, X1600, HD 2400, HD
3200, HD 3450, and HD 4350 are below minimum system requirements)
(Easy Info claimed that the game had no video display requirement)

Hard Drive Space:
12 Gigabytes

Sound Card:
DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card and drivers

Not  even the fools at System Requirements Lab are as moronic as EA's trash tool (and its author / creator / writer!)

I decided it would be good to have something here, dissing Easy Info, that actually had the thing's name, here in ME-1, where the subject came up and introduced this piece of dreck to me for the first time, but under a topic other than the utility's own name.

I have known for years that EA was staffed by ignorant morons, but occasionally I can forget *HOW* horribly ignorant they can be!
