Hey guys
Just wondering if i should do "the urn of sacred ashes" or "a paragon of her kind" quest first, or if it even matters?
thanks!
Which quest first?

technically, you can do any of them first. paragon will be fairly hard out of lothering, and most people will suggest doing broken circle first.

Broken Circle -> Brecilian Forest -> Denerim -> Paragon of her kind -> Urn IMO.

It's feasible to do them in any order, I more often than not, go to Orzammar first and complete that quest chain. There honestly isn't a correct way to do it, no matter what anyone says.

DLCs for early gear, does cost a bit to upgrade to a higher tier later but to get going there is nothing like wardens commander armor and duncan's swords.
Broken Circle to get Wynne then to get the fade portion out of the way, there is no real serious drops to have to worry about upgrading later and it helps to have the circle on stand by for what ever you decide to do about Conner or Isolde in Redcliffe.
Denerim because it is pretty fast and the Xp is pretty good.
Dealers Choice here depends on the class i am playing melee types i do Brecilian Forest they are a bit easier for a melee at lower levels. Ranged class especially a mage i do OZ first because i will have the ability to stack at least 2 elemental AOEs on each other like a Tempest and a Blizzard, good for cleaning the large areas of the Deep Roads.
I do Redcliffe last because it is easier i think to do the initial Redcliffe Battle with 2 set up tanks with taunt to help keep the aggro off the militia. Plus it is nice to have the circle ready to go if you want to use them to save Connor. Also because it seems to flow for me a bit better to have all the work done before you wake Eamon.
There is no correct order as has been said some like to do thing different, and the ability of the game to allow each player that flexibility is awesome.

Indeed. Different characters go to different places first. HNs and my slightly naive CEF go to Redcliffe first. Mages hit the tower first, and Dalish and harder CEs try the Forest first.
I always save Orzammar for last, though. :x

Different characters pick differently. Pragmatist mage went to Brecilian Forest first because it's closest, then panicked to the Tower when he heard the abomination rumors. Then Redcliffe. Then Orzammar. Then Urn. Being a mage also makes getting Wynne less of an issue.
The melee people usually go to Circle first, to get Wynne. Then Redcliffe. Then swing by Brecilian Forest, Urn, then Orzammar. Circle's the easiest and shortest I think.

The Circle first just to help your character progression and so you don't waste points in the wrong areas (unless you had the respec mod installed). After that, go where your roleplaying heart wishes.

I often do the Circle first and then Orzammar, because I want to get all the characters as soon as possible and flesh out my cast. Sometimes Orzammar then the Circle.

I try to change it up. Also, I split Orzammar into two parts. Otherwise it's too tedious for me. I'll do the side quests and set up my king choice, then if I'm feeling confident do Jarvia, and come back for the Deep Roads sometime later.
I usually do the DLCs first though, for the gear and the party storage chest.

I pretty much always do the Circle first (after the DLCs usually) for the stat boosts etc. I've done it second once, so I could do it with Zevran, but yes, usually first. Redcliffe I normally do second but I don't like to do it earlier because a lot more people die in the battle. It's easier to keep more alive if you have mages with cone of cold and decent healing skills.
The other three are interchangeable.
