AD = ArchDemon. It's one of those things where it can stump you for a long time, but once you hear it your reaction is "geez, how did I not figure that one out." Confused me for a little while too.jfb3neo wrote...
Stupid question, but I really enjoyed this thread, and had to ask, "What is AD?" I've seen two references that spirit balm is good against AD, but what is that? I can't find it anywhere.
True, but the game doesn't treat the Archdemon as either a dragon or darkspawn for the purposes of weapon/armor effects or runes; really sucks that my first playthrough stacked all those runes before I went to the final battle.mousestalker wrote...
The AD is a dragon, but she deals
spirit damage, not fire damage.

Every enemy has a tooltip with weaknesses and strengths. These will get added onto as you figure them out. Like; If you cast a fireball on an enemy and it apparant they're really weak vs fireballs, it would get added to their weaknesses list so next time I'd know that yeah, these are weak to fireballs. Well, you get the idea.
That would have been nice, actually. I don't have time to take notes on this stuff and without a combat log these things can be hard to notice.

Where can you read these tooltips? Are they in the enemy's Codex entry? Or is it something that appears on the screen when the enemy attacks you?Every enemy has a tooltip with weaknesses and strengths. These will get added onto as you figure them out. I was responding to an idea someone had for a feature they wished was in the game. It doesn't exist.

The boss rank genlock emissary from the one Chanter's board quest will cast stinging swarm on you(the one where you try to rescue the refugees). Of course you might want to stack a fire balm on top of the nature balm since he'll fireball you too. That quest is annoying on nightmare unless you have high spell resistance(or the aforementioned balms)

Nevermind, I replied to the post at the bottom of page 1 before reading page 2. My apologies.
