Sometimes they confuse me, and it's hard to tell which is the best one to choose. For instance the Goldanna situation with Alistair, at the end he confesses his love for me (female PC) and I  don't know weather to say "I love you, too" or "We're in this together" which is the best option in those situations?

What would your character say? The answer is usually the best option. If you wanna romance alistair, I bet professing your love back would be effective.
