The real problem is if we can take Jacob seriously after all "the priiize" thing.

character's got a lot of potential, especially after Galaxy.

The big issue with Jacob is really how bad his romance is handled(and the quasi-porn lines of the final scene, of course). Let that out, and is a character with potential but overshadowed by most of the other squadmates in ME2.

Precisely. The only person in all the ship that is not alien, crazy, genetically perfect, uberpowerful or all at the same time. His only uberpower is the priiize, really.

Actually... His skillset rocks...

he's just stuck with a shot gun..

Same reason I don't use Jack and Tali...

Shotguns blow, Jacob with an assault rifle would be someone I'd use... (also, I don't use Mordin...)

That is true. Assault Rifle and Heavy Pistol would have make more sense for Jacob. His skillset is one of the best for combining with a biotic Shepard who has mastered Warp.

I actually think Jacob is good as a crewmember and as part of your away team. And the bromance thing is cool.

Heavy risk using a shotgun in battle ... but this time the priiize didn't lend Jacob his powers.
