And also, View the priiize as us ****ing Bioware for their poor romance writing on Jacob. Man, I just saw a couple of the scenes of the build-up of the romance and most are great... Then you hit the romance... And flatline...![]()
Give a bro a chance...
Romance? I thought it was just a "let's have sex!" fling with most of the ME2 love interests. For a fling, the "priiizzzze" scene makes sense, since it's basically about mutual physical attraction.
With only 3-4 conversations in the Normandy, there isn't exactly a whole lot of room for romance developments.
The problem is that Jacob throw specifficaly the line "I love you" during that scene, so no, it's not just casual sex, for him at least.

Haha Wow. An actually serious Jacob support thread.
Anyway, he wasn't my favorite character but I don't hate him. He was shaping up to be a cool character for the first hour or so but as soon as you get back to the ship he gets standoffish. I thought they kind of phoned in the work on Jacob. He seems unpolished and as if he's missing something.
This is why we are militating for Jacob...drunken pyromaniac wrote...

I could get beind fixing him. He has a glimmer of being interestinng, you know? It just never fully comes out.
True, as you can see by my sig I like a lot of characters, he could have been one of them.Nostradamoose wrote...
He could be one of the greatest characters of the Franchise...
But eh! They screwed up on him.

Indeed, nice guys should get a chance! It's not the character's or the VA's fault. The writers and maybe the recording coaches or engineers really messed up making his scenes sound right.LuckyIronAxe wrote...
Yeah, this is his support thread, and we can all agree to that to some extent. I loved his character, was nice to have a normal dude in a sea of aliens, psycho paths, and genetically perfect super people. But I still would love to see some character depth/growth and a tolerable romance (from BOTH sides, femshep and Jacob) for the poor man, Jacob totally deserves a complete character. Just because he’s the Average Joe doesn’t mean he can’t have an interesting character, and I won’t let this white wash continue!
