Sismances... I flat out love Ash. And I hate having to lose her on Virmire because my Shep is romancing Kaidan. Love both of them, really. So Ash is my buttkicking, gun-toting pal, and Tali's like my little sister.

Yeah the decision in ME1 was hard for me as well. Especially when two of my least favorite characters got to survive no matter what. Well at least Jacob survives Eden Prime

I've never felt that sismance with Jack, since she kind of says that she's not interested in women. *eyerolls*. I'm not interested either, but she doesn't seem to want a friendship.

Thinking about Eden Prime, how did Jacob survive? I mean, it is surprising that on Horizon Ashley didn't seem to acknowledge Jacob.

I liked Jack. I also thought she would be interested but I guess not. Mostly I was dissapointed when her dialog stopped and she was suddenly mad at you. At least with the other characters you don't romance they just give you an excuse or something... but I was particularly dissapointed with Jack because I thought Shepard and her were becoming friends.

There were two brigades assigned to Eden Prime, the 212 (Ashley's unit) and the 232. It's highly unlikely that Ashley could have known she was the last surviving Marine out of the entire garrison. It's likely that Jacob was assigned to the 232, and he was probably one of only a few survivors. Since they were (probably) assigned to different units, it's not unbelievable that they'd never met.

With all of the Jacob hate on the forums, I wonder if they will bother bringing closure to the Jacob/Femshep romance in ME3. I definitely want to see closure for the Virmire survivor romance, but I don't want Jacob hastily brushed aside, either.

Honestly, much as I dislike Jacob's romance, I hope it gets a decent treatment and proper closure in ME3. Many fans don't care for *my* favourite romance (Kaidan), but that should have no bearing on how to write the romance for those who *do* like it. Different characters for different tastes. No one is right or wrong. (Unless you "romanced" Morinth. Then you kinda have to be wrong.)

I think it's just the dancing Turian from Thane's mission. I wish some one would make a Jacob dancing one... that would be awesome.

Well, a dev recently stated that "Bioware values all the romances equally", in that thread where the FemShep Liaramancers were blasting them for something. Since he wasn't Casey Hudson, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I'm also willing to bet they take feedback from the forums into account, but only to a certain degree. Which is a good thing for those of us who don't worship the ground under the feet of a few specific squaddies, or consider a few certain subplots as "the most important questions to be resolved" in ME3.

Jacob will be around in ME3, in some form, and his romance will have its conclusion.

I'll try to mod a proper Jacob dancing gif when I'm free.

I hope they do have conclusions for the romances, since ME3 is the last game for the Shepard Arc. But gosh I hope the happy romance ending is not 'marriage and riding into the sunset'. I don't see Shepard and Jacob like that (I do see it for Kaidan and Liara happy romance ending). But nevertheless, I would prefer multiple happy romance endings. But knowing BW, they probably won't do that.

One thing I'm thinking is that the recruitable squadmate screen is going to be very crowded if we get ALL squaddies back, including the ME1 crew. But I suspect Wrex won't be an option for obvious reasons (I don't see them having two krogans on the crew, anyhow), and that the Virmire Survivor will merely be part of the story but not part of the squad. Some ME2 squad members also have plans or stories that don't necessarily go along with yours- for example, Zaeed got paid big bucks by Cerberus. Will he take a hike if you don't work for Cerberus anymore and he stops getting that big paycheck? What about Samara- will she go back to stopping crime now that both she and Shepard have completed their personal missions? What's Kasumi's stake in sticking around? I can see them doing some house cleaning squadwise.

I think they shouldn't have had so many squad mates in ME 2 to begin with. I was pretty mad that 1. they used a dying and resurrection plot at the very beginning of the game 2. I didn't get all of my old squad back 3. there is some bad guys I've never really heard much about who are now suddenly this big threat and 4. I had to work for Cerberus (not a fan of them myself)



My hopes for ME 3 is that there is more dialog, more unique development of your plots and those of the individual characters and that those plots tie into the main story some how. That the main story gets some actual attention and that the side quests have story lines like in ME 1. That there are NO NEW SQUAD MATES..... I'd also like power cool downs to be separate like in ME 1. Using pull shouldn't eat my ability to use my med pac.... I felt like I got an incomplete game... just a stepping stone and it made me sad that to have any extra armor you have to use real money and buy it where as in ME 1 you got more armor and weapons than you ever needed along with your game. And finally... if they conclude the romances it better be more than just a few dialog scenes and a short cut scene fade to black and lets never talk about this again.... and the writing... especially for JT.... better be good >.>

This was brought up over in the Miranda thread, so I figured it'd make for some interesting discussion. I certainly wouldn't mind, in a future DLC or in ME3, if they were to expand on Jacob's past work as a Corsair, or maybe even one of his past dealings with Cerberus. Maybe he did something as a Corsair that he wasn't proud of or had a mission left unfinished that he wants to complete.

Jacob strikes me as the type to be totally oblivious of Kasumi's interest. If she wanted to snag him I think she'd have to march right up to him and kiss him. There's a funny glitch where if you're romancing Jacob, Kasumi always thinks you've broken up with him.

Kasumi:"Yes it's hush hush....uh need to know basis."

Jacob:"Really, now that's interesting"

Kasumi:"In fact, I shouldn't be telling you this. Shep isn't going to be happy if he finds out."

EDI: "Analysis of the Armory's security camera footage has been completed Mr. Taylor."

Kasumi: "Security cam analysis?"

Jacob:"Shepard put me in charge of the Normandy's security."

Kasumi: "Oh Shep...hehe...that kidder giving us the same job"

Jacob:"Mmhmm"

EDI:"I have a sent a detailed breakdown of the footage to your personal terminal Mr. Taylor."

Jacob:"Thanks EDI, could you give me an overview of the results?"

EDI:"As you know Mr. Taylor, there was minor variance in video quality at near the same time index during each day. This variance is only present during your morning workout regiment. After cross referencing all available data, I discovered that the frequency of the variance is identical to Ms. Goto's personal cloaking device."

Kasumi:"Uh..I should g...Shep!?"

Jacob:"I'm beginning to wonder if Shepard has personal cloaking device..."

Kasumi: *mumbles* "If EDI can't pick it up maybe I should 'borrow' it..."

Shepard:"Grunt, Legion, and I were about to spill drinks at Darkstar. Thought you'd like to join us"

Jacob:"How long have you been standing there comman...Legion?"

Shepard:"Well, Grunt got tired of hauling our asses back to the Normandy..."
