Kasumi: "Security cam analysis?"

Jacob:"Shepard put me in charge of the Normandy's security."

Kasumi: "Oh Shep...hehe...that kidder giving us the same job"

Jacob:"Mmhmm"

EDI:"I have a sent a detailed breakdown of the footage to your personal terminal Mr. Taylor."

Jacob:"Thanks EDI, could you give me an overview of the results?"

EDI:"As you know Mr. Taylor, there was minor variance in video quality at near the same time index during each day. This variance is only present during your morning workout regiment. After cross referencing all available data, I discovered that the frequency of the variance is identical to Ms. Goto's personal cloaking device."

Kasumi:"Uh..I should g...Shep!?"

Jacob:"I'm beginning to wonder if Shepard has personal cloaking device..."

Kasumi: *mumbles* "If EDI can't pick it up maybe I should 'borrow' it..."

Shepard:"Grunt, Legion, and I were about to spill drinks at Darkstar. Thought you'd like to join us"

Jacob:"How long have you been standing there comman...Legion?"

Shepard:"Well, Grunt got tired of hauling our asses back to the Normandy..."

I can see Legion carrying Shep and JT back to the Normandy...

Thanks Gash. I always appreciate the encouragement. It try to reference things in prior conversations to keep a loose story arc going. Although I change Shepard's gender depending on how I want things to play out.

If Jacob could go on vacation (an uninterrupted vacation) where would he go? What 3 things would he take and who would he go with (2 people... because you can only have three people in your vacation squad!!!!)

I don't know why but I see JAcob dancing on Hawaii... He will take his CD with music his listens too whilen working out, 1000 ways to train your abs and 9000 Intergalactic Drinks. He woud go with Shep and Legion (they will both train their dancing skills).

I can't really see Jacob lying in a deck chair sipping drinks with tiny umbrellas on them. That comment about how he "can't sit around getting fat" makes me think so. But I can definitely see him taking the kind of vacation that is mind-clearing and good for the body- maybe he's got some secret athletic hobby like mountain climbing or hiking. I could see him taking bromanc-y people like Garrus or Mordin. Though, can you imagine trying to hike up a serene, clouded mountainside with Mordin rambling incessantly in your ear? Scratch Mordin! Zaeed needs a vacation.

Something similar to the holiday he had (although briefly) in ME:Galaxy. Relaxing on a luxury cruise, maybe he would take up swimming whilst he's there...
What 3 things will he take: Hmmm... He'd probably take a PDA or something like that, big sunglasses and an assault rifle (because you can never be too careful can ya Jacob?).
Who would he take: Probably Miranda and Shepard, they seem to be the only people he trusts.

I'm not very much fond of Jacob. But I'm currently thinking if I should bring him back from the dead.

Main reason: I recruited Kasumi after the "suicide mission", and she still wrote her Jacob haikus. Stupid BioWare! Of course, it could be some other Jacob, but seriously.

Is there any other reason I should give Jacob another shot at life?

Saying that made me actually think about something Darc, let's assume Shep would want Jacob to get to know Legion, Thane and Zaeed better so he might atleast trust them a bit (it wouldn't be my Shep since he understands). What will JAcob do? Will he listen to what Shep says? Will he actually tr to get to know them better?

Jacob is a reasonable guy. If Shepard nudged him in a certain direction, he'd be willing to give a try. It may not change his mind but he'd trust Shepard's judgment enough to take another look at things.

I know Jacob may never love Legion and Zaeed like I do but I think they could get along... I'm sure Zaeed would love to drone on about his stories to some one and Jacob seems just polite enough to listen at least with mild disinterest. As for Legion... I would get those two together for the pure hilarity of what would likely result XD It's funny enough watching Shepard talk to him... and I'm always nice... but to seeing those two together, in my mind, would lead to some pretty hilarious conversations....

I think Jacob is necessary because he's the only person in the group (not including regular Normandy crew) who seems like he's got his head on straight. He has issues, just like everyone else, but he never makes them anyone else's problem unless they come to him about it. He's rock-solid and dependable, and respects authority but isn't naive enough to accept it without question.

I agree that Jacob needs a rifle. I also think people would have used him a lot more if his evolved loyalty power were something like Barrier Field, where his Barrier extends to also protect Shepard and the third squadmate instead of only himself (though it would be slightly weaker than Heavy Barrier, of course).

Legion is funny? Zaeed is tough? It's all just opinion. I didn't find Legion funny at all. I sometimes just give him to cerberus so I don't have to be bothered with his loyalty mission.  Zaeed isn't as tough as Jacob in combat IMO. Morinth I take or leave. The assault rifle is overrated. I often bring Grunt and Jake on missions together and Jacob's kill rate with the geth pulse shotty or Phallanx pistol is easily on par (if not more) with Grunt's mattock. I often give Grunt a Geth or eviscerator shotgun instead. Inferno ammo works best with a shotgun anyway.

And even when the enemies are defended, it's useful for triggering a momentary stagger.  Jacob has saved my Vanguard's life countless times.  But I think Zulu is more interested in how Jacob is significant in terms of personality or story.  I always keep him alive because I'd like to see how things turn out for him in ME:3.  If every romance is equal* in Bioware's eyes, then Jacob should get just as much attention as any of the others in ME3.  Also, Jacob is my favorite squadmate.
