Gash, I do them off the top of my head and post them directly here. If I have time I'll go through the thread and save them all to my PC. Okay I'm gonna try to get to sleep now. I have to get up in 5 hours....I really have to do something about my insomnia. It seems worse than normal this week.

Just looking back at a few previous posts, I wonder why Jacob was testy. I mean, Jacob says that it's Cerberus and its presence on the Normandy, but he had that when he was at Project Lazarus and pre-Normandy. That's the one thing that puzzled me the most.

Thanks Alexine. The only thing I could figure was that Jacob knew what Miranda expected of him and he didn't with Shepard. So he just fell back on his military experience. While everyone else is casual, Jacob acts like an Alliance soldier. He salutes Shepard at the end of mission briefings and keeps any conversations on the task at hand unless prompted to do other wise.

The only time he breaks from this is when Thane is brought aboard and the Legion decision for obvious reasons. The Thane situation should have been resolved by Jacob's loyalty mission. Something that delved into his issues with mercenaries, but we got Ronald Taylor's personal harem instead. Jacob's loyalty mission probably has the hardest paragon choice in the game. Locking that SOB Ronald up just seems to good for him.

Peitition for a patch to make Jacob the kind of teammate he was supposed to be

I'm not sure who will read this and seriously give it some thought, but I think that Jacob needs to be patched so he can then use Assault Rifles and Shotguns.  If you think about it, the closest character Jacob resembles is Grunt, not Jack; this even goes into their skill sets - Jacobs' passive has no bonuses towards his CD percentatge, while Jack's does; Grunt has a health bonus and a damage bonus - so does Jacob!  Why can't Jacob be what it seems he was intended to be - the human equivalent of Grunt?!  
I say let's try and get Jacob patched so he can benefit from using Assault Rifles - I mean, Bioware was able to patch the scanning system, so why not a character that could become even more useful?

He uses Assault Rifles in ME:G.  Honestly, it's not such a big deal if you have the Firepower Pack.  Why would you ever want anything other than the GPS on Jacob?

Jacob doesn't need an assault rifle. They're overrated and don't do any more damage than the Geth pulse shotgun. The problem with ARs and other rapid fire guns is that squad mates don't take cover until they empty an entire clip. This leaves them open to damage for a longer period of time. When armed with shotguns, heavy pistols or sniper rifles they take one or 2 shots and return to cover. Jacob's cool down time is good enough as it is and is faster than Grunt's. Jacob is not supposed to be a human equivalent to Grunt. His niche is a tough biotic soldier who excels in fire fights if leveled up as a tank.

The only patch Jake may need is for his constant barrier spamming. I don't mind Jake erecting a barrier if his barrier is down but not when he already has one up. It could be easily be patched by BW but I don't think they will. It doesn't bother me much because I prefer barrier spamming over the constant dying of the softer squad mates (I'm looking at you Miranda especially).

Good point CC Tron. It's really a problem if you give Jacob Improved Barrier. It's like the AI doesn't account for the extended duration.

Well said Tron. A lot of people completely miss the point with Jacob. As far as AR's, I would have agreed pre GPS but now he doesn't really need them.

I tend to max Jacob out in Pull until it's at Pull Field first thing as he gets points to add. It's really useful when you can just throw a wall full of people into the air.

Thanks Gash, I keep having to edit it. It went way longer than I planned and I missed a lot of typos it seems. I tried to squeeze as many crew members into the convo as possible. Debating writing a part 2 to squeeze in those I missed.

Thanks PD Orta. I tend to stay away from Pull. It is useful but on higher difficulties I find the added attack power of Inferno Ammo more useful. Side note: Panzer Dragoon fan? I miss those games. I wish I wouldn't have essentially gave my Saturn away with all my games. Panzer Dragoon Saga was exceptional.

That's exactly my setup for Jacob too! I really enjoy pull but when it's heavy pull it practically kills the enemy. Which takes the fun away from pulling them in the sky and blasting them with a concussive shot.
