There are plenty of reasons why people do not like Jacob, of which him being black is one. You're not going to find people to honestly admit to it. I'm somewhat uncomfortable talking about it, but I don't like the outright dismissal that race can be a factor just as I don't like the insistence that it must be a factor. If that makes any sense.

Laughed my ass off when I read that thread, I have fun watching the show, and OP really did a good job capturing the spirit of just how silly the show is.

How they compare weapons is just awful....

The first two Deadliest Warrior threads where made by Lor Mandalore and he's basically made out off awesomeness, you should read his Why Covenant Lost The War fanfic on Fanfiction.net if you've played Halo, It's fraking hilarious.
The new one is a parody off Mandalore's parody. It was nice knowing that guy who made the Woo vs topic thread.....

My guess would be he patrolled the outer systems for slavers and pirates, one ship with a couple of bad ass corsairs would have a lot more success in hunting scum like this then say a fleet of alliance ships, just my guess though.

Maybe he did some awesome black ops missions for the Allaince, like assisting a organization that was/is (I believe in the second) a part of the Allaince. I think you all know about which organization I'm talking about...

I wonder if Woo was a Usenet poster back in the day, in which case I completely understand where the aversion to versus threads come from.

But I'm not adverse to comparing various ME characters to each other. I'm not sure how nonbiotics compensate for biotics in a fight, as enemies don't pull or slam your squadmates in the game. I know armor from ME1 allowed for biotic and tech resistence. Plus biotics depend on a line of sight unless you're using singularity, which Jacob doesn't have. But Jacob doesn't have to rely solely on biotics, he's a trained soldier as well.

Garrus doesn't have to rely solely on his sniper rifle either, he's also a trained soldier and a tech. He's also apparently quite apt at hand-to-hand combat. I also view him as a bit older than Jacob with more combat experience. I'm afraid Jacob isn't a match, though he could learn a great deal.

Actually, while I understand it from a gameplay perspective, I wonder if coming under the effect of a biotic lift would truly render someone helpless. Suddenly finding yourself being pulled across the room would certainly mess up your aim, but I can see a combat veteran getting their bearings back quickly and unleashing a counterattack while still being pulled.

I'm glad you got it, I believe in the Conspiracy theory that Cerberus is still a part of the Allaince. Allaince is much to friendly too Aliens....
