I have an idea for a discussion:

What will happen if Shepard died and Jacob will become the new Shepard?

How would Jacob react to have to put up with all political bullsh*t that's normal for Shepard?

Will the crew follow Jacob?

(I got inspired by darkspawn chronicles)

Jacob I think COULD replace Shepard, and be effective at it, the political crap would drive him crazy though. I think Tali, Grunt, and maybe Garrus might straight up leave if there was no Shepard, unless Jacob could convince them otherwise. But for the most part I believe if Jacob could get over Thane then I think the rest would stay for the duration.

I think Jacob would have it in him to replace Shepard. But he would have trouble with the crew. Some would be loyal to him out of respect for Shepard like Garrus and Kasumi. Miranda and Zeead would be a given.

Tali would leave, Shepard was the only thing keeping her on the Cerberus frigate of Human awesomeness.

I agree on this, I'm not to sure if some of the other aliens would stay either. In all seriousness I think Garrus would fill Shepard's shoes better, with Jacob being promoted to right hand man

I think Miranda or Garrus would be a better fit than Jacob.

I know, but we're discussing what if Jacob would become the leader, cuz this is the Jacob thread.
Garrus is a weaker version of Renegade Shepard, so I'm sure he can do it.
I want to see Legion as the new Shepard, he already has the armor.

Well we know Jacob can be used as a leader in the suicide mission. I don't know where he gets his leadership abilities from though.

I may have something to do with his Corsair days, but because Bioware doesn't allow us to discover anything about Jacob's past we will never know.

He was a Lieutenant in the Systems Alliance military, he went through OCS or equivalent, he knows how to lead

Experience, the man was a Corsair, and add on the mission in ME:Galaxy, I'm sure he can lead a fire team better than say... Tali, Grunt, or Samara

Oh, I see. I have to make him a leader one of these days. It's just hard not to pick my bro Garrus

I know what you mean, I discovered he could lead on my first playthrough when I had him lead the first fireteam, but now Garrus does all leading.

I feel bad for Jacob, he gets overshadowed by both Miri and Garrus

I never knew he was a Lieutenant, I gues I've demoted him in my fic:innocent:
But beign a Lieutenant doesn't mean he's a good leader, Lieutenant is the lowest officer rank and I don't think you can lead an operation like Shepard's with only officer training.

Allaince is made of it, I understand him.

He says it on his loyalty mission if you pick the middle convo option when first talking to Ron

And officer training prepares you to lead men, combine that with his expierence and you have a competent young officer

I don't doubt that he has leadership skills, but we know you need more then that to be Shepard;)
