Seems and is, are two different things.

Jacob kept on telling us that the odds are slim ect. He had a feeling he might not make, nor anyone else. I guess he thought he would lke to die a hero, which he did't because all 12 characters are on my ship

That's what i think, he knew he could't do the vents, he knew only a master at tech could do it. I think he wanted to go out as a hero. However I picked Legion and made sure everyone made it out alive, Jacob is in the armory, making sure my weapons are good and ready

I have also something to make you feel better, Tali is also alive in some of my playthroughs, I had enough Renegade points to get her loyalty back after I allowed Legion to send the data:wizard:

Honestly, the whole getting people killed thing was a bad idea on Bioware's part.

You're short established characters for ME3.

Which means you need to think up replacements.

New models, new voice actors, new backstories, all of which is more money.

Bad idea.

Better if everyone just gets plot armor and makes it through into ME3.

Maybe we should start with telling what we like about Jacob and let's see how it will develop?

The thing I like about Jacob is his willingness to go that extra step.

He joined Cerberus because he didn't think the Alliance did enough for humanity, being all tied-up in beuracracy and politics.

Misguided, maybe, but his intentions are good.

Now that I think he's under Shepard's flag, he might see that no one organized body has the galaxy at the forefront.

If he didn't joined Cerberus he still will be with the Alliance and that would meet my Shepard and Jacob will never meet and if they met  then they'll probably will start shooting at eachother. My Shepard stays with Cerberus and we know how much the Alliance likes my type....
