I get this popup message every time I load the Dragon Age Origins main screen:

"Your profile data has been corrupted. The corrupted data will be overridden. Your settings have been restored to the defaults."

I've done the suggested browser cookie and cache clearing of the broswer on the PS3 via the XMB, but it does nothing.

I believe this error occurred because I followed Bioware support's suggested "Delete your Saved Data Utility of Dragon Age Origins" to fix the DLC issue--as this problem has appeared every time since.

(I fixed my disappearing DLC issue MYSELF via buying the Feastday Combo pack...all my Collector's Edition downloads and Dragon Age Journeys items appeared suddenly after that.)

The profile isn't stored on the PS3. It's stored on EA servers. Have you checked the DA page here with your characters to see if they're displaying correctly?

Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I just recently experienced the same error and I don't know how to fix it; I've called EA, Sony, and Bioware multiple times and no one has answers.

I guess its something to do with your PS3.

Have their been issues?

i think you need to delete game data

I've talked to EA support a few times, deleted the game data, deleted the save data, rebooted the ps3, reinstalled everything... Sony and EA can't find a solution and Bioware says they only create the games so tech is all on EA. Anyway, I bought the Awakening disc instead of installing, and there was never any problem between the two discs before. But for some reason now when I play Awakening and I go to start a new game in Origins, the game says everything is corrupted at the start menu and all of my specializations and special armor and weapons are relocked.

I think i know what is problem. you can try 2 things. First, Rebuild PS3 Database ( http://www.tawkn.com/?blog_id=596 ) and try to create new user for ps3 and then try to play dragon age with new user account

...No dice. Okay, I'm new to the ps3 in general, so... do I have to be online when I create my new profile? I tried a new user account and not only did the profile data still read as corrupted, but now all of my dlcs are corrupted and I'll have to get those back again as well. Gah. This really did just happen out of the blue, like all of a sudden all of my specializations and armor were restored to default settings every time after I just put in Awakening--didn't even have to save to make this happen.

maybe you should restore ps3 system, that helped my for my problems with corrupted gamefiles
