Yeah, but Miranda gets hit by it way more than usual. That said most of the humans look like **** when put next to the aliens who look vastly more detailed.

Shes fine on Illuim, the Normandy and the wards, it's Omega and Tinchanka lighting that makes her ugly.

Something is just a little off about her face in general--her lips are just a little too smirky, or they don't close right, or her jawline looks weird...something small, but it's enough to make a lot of people find her off-putting. That said, I wouldn't put her on a 'most ugly' list, but that little 'strangeness' about her face is only magnified when the game goes on and on about how she's the perfect woman and the most beautiful etc. The disconnect highlights it.

The only thing that's ugly there is the exaggerated and unrealistic shadows that the game tends to do. Seriously, to put her in a list of "top 10" ugly characters is simply ridiculous.

It's not good quility but thats not ugly at all.

I'm not saying that she's ugly--try reading my posts, I said right out that I definitely wouldn't put her on an ugly characters list. I'm just saying that 1) there is an odd, 'Uncanny Valley' quality about her face that makes a lot of people find her off-putting, and 2) she is often a victim of bad lighting and angles. Sure, you can find a derp shot of everybody, but I can honestly say I've never seen Jack look quite so screwed-up in bad lighting. The only character who has a comparable amount of lighting trouble is Liara, and that's mostly because you never see her out of her horribly-lit office.

It's not good quility but thats not ugly at all.

I don't know if I would go so far to say it is ugly, but there is definitely something "off" about this shot. Miranda's problem is that she has the bad habit of falling into the Uncanny Valley. Maybe it was intentional on Bioware's part, a way deconstructing our view human "perfection", but it still kinda freaks me out a bit.

100% truth, no trolling--my mother doesn't know a damn thing about video games, totally unaware of the jokes about Miranda going around pre-release. I personally never found Miranda very attractive (I think it's the eyebrows), but I wouldn't call her one of the ugliest. She's probably on there because she was meant to be super-hot, most-attractive-woman-you've-ever-seen, like-Yvonne-Strahovski-but-better status, but fell flat.

Sure, Marcus & that guy from GTAIV are ugly, but pretty much everyone else on that list they just just picked really ugly screenshots for.



My only issue with Miranda is that her body is out of proportion, she wears a skin-tight jumpsuit and high heels in battle, and has a cleft in her chin.

Still she's not ugly...

Thank You! I am glad I am not the only one who thinks thatt miranda has a messed up face. I know they modeled her on her voice actress, who is super hot, but it looks like the face fell into the uncanny valley, in my opinion.
