I'm new to the forum so I appologize if this has been covered... after a searching for a while I decided to post here. I realize its probably not the best spot. An answer to the question would be great, but pointing me to the right place with a link or something would be helpful too... I wan't allowed to post in some of the spots that seemed more fitting...
I downloaded the Soldiers Peak quest. I have beaten everything within the stronghold. When I was done there was too much to carry off. So I decided that I'd come back for what I couldn't carry. After leaving and coming back though, I can no longer go inside. The storage chest is cool and all, but I didn't expect it to be out in the snow. Will the stronghold open back up later? or should I ditch my progress, reload and try to carry as many of the good items as I can?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

You can never re-enter the place. It's just the outdoors area.
What I generally do when I run out of room is to add a bunch of stuff to my party's alternate weapon selection to free up some room, and if I can, I swap party members to get even more room. Things equipped don't count towards your total. If you have at least 40 arrows of a special type, they count as 2 items, and can still all be equipped in one slot, so a bow with a big stack of arrows in a character's alternate weapon slot frees up 3 items of space.

I was afraid of that. Fortunately I knew I had to leave the loot behind so I saved right before, just in case. Its a good thing too, it was all really good stuff - the hidden chest contents by the painting, the grandma/demon/grey warden's armour...
I used to play Baldur's Gate, BG II, and Ice Wind Dale on PC some years back. I'm used to having to worry about weight. From the tone of your post it seems like its slots... Thats much easier to deal with. Still, best item ever: Bag of Holding.
Thanks for the reply and especially the tip. That should make this easier. I'm just gettin started so every silver counts ;-)

Another note, buy any backpacks any vendor you find has. They add 10 to your maximum slots. When you reach a max of 120, there will be no more backpacks left anywhere to buy.

cool. thanks. I just discovered the back pack being sold by the dwarf merchant that loiters around camp... It was too pricey for me right now, I need gold. Still, your tip got me out of the Keep with everything there was too carry.
thanks for the help. I'm back on track. that storage container alone was worth the money for the download.
One last question... do prices vary from merchant to merchant? For example do I get a better price from Levi when buying/selling than I would from said dwarf or Levi's brother (cousin what ever)... I know I can find out by paying closer attention or taking notes during sales conversations, but I might end up loosing out on some easy loot, and especially time, in the process...
thanks again!!! you've definitely saved me some of that time!
