I play a mage, and when I have a weapon buff activated (frost/fire weapon buff) and someone in my party dies and comes back to life, their weapon doesn't get buffed again unless I dispell it and recast it.

Anyone having similar issues?  Is this by design?

as far as i know it is by design, frustrating yes, not a big issue tho from my thinking.

Same with bard buffs.

Yepper, that is the way it works--similar to other games like WoW--if you die, you lose your buffs.

It's a persistent party buff though (not an individual buff). I could understand that if the casting player dies, the buff disappears, but if a party member dies, the buff should re-apply automagically, no?

Yeah it should imo, since now you have cancel it on the casting character then wait for cooldown to recast it so all characters get it.
