Seriously, there are already User Groups for that sort of thing, so all those topics do is get in the way while people continuously bump them to keep them at the top.

Many good topics end up buried instantly beneath those endless disruptive topics.

I suggest that those topics be deleted and their denizens be informed that if they want to discuss a character that they should join a User Group for said character and take the discussion there.

While I don't think the fan threads are totally useless, they do create a big mess to sort through if you want to discuss something besides how awesome "insert character name here" is.

Other suggestions for fixing this problem:

(1) A separate forum or sub-forum for them

(2) Sticky them and put them on the first page (so that you automatically know to avoid the first page if you want to discuss other topics)

I personally like option #1 myself, but I agree that there should be some cleanup done so that good, non-support threads aren't lost in the mix.

I think that the obvious and proper solution would be to create a sub-forum (or forum whichever is easier) that would hold all of the fan threads.

I have made a poll here in hopes that it shows what the community would support best.

I like both of your ideas, hell, I'd pretty much like anything that clears up the clutter those topics cause.

Fully agreed with separate sub-forum/forum. Just call it Mass Effect 2 Fan Topics (Spoilers Warning) or at least something to that extent.
