Just how old is the Human noble?
Infact how old is you're whole party?
I mean the warden has to be around 18-20 right...any older they would have been married off by now.
Whats does everyone else think?

I wouldn't go that old, specially with Human noble and Dalish elf, just by looking at there backgrounds they seem to have just come out of Adolescence.

I agree. They make it clear that your HMN is young by having the Teyrn calling him puppy(instead of just son)

Anyways I think the Cousland noble sould be around 20 to 25 years old. As Ayanko said, any older than 25 he'd be married. The other characters (playeable or not) I don;t know. Maybe Alistair's the same age as the human noble.

for pretty much all wardens, 18-24 is my guess (and / or the equivalent in elf / dwarf years).

Human Noble: 18 - 22 top.



What about the Dwarfs? (Noble/Castless) the beards can be deceiving

Its so funny that you just created this because I came onto this site to find out the same answer (for my city elf).



Here's what I'm thinking. I'm just gonna list it and you guys can tell me what you think.



Human Noble: 18-20

City Elf: 18-20 (Although probably 18 because they kept talking about coming of age and stuff)

Mage:20-24 (It seems like it would take a long time to train enough to be a good mage)

Dalish Elf: 18-24 (I had no idea about this one)

Dwarf Noble: 23-28 (Your the middle child and Trian is pretty old so I'm guess you're older too)

Dwarf Commoner: 18-22 (Your sister doesn't look that old so I'm guessing the PC is pretty young)



Here's what I was thinking for the traveling party. (Really I'm not sure though)

Alistair: 23

Leliana: 26

Morrigan: 24

Sten:43

Zevren: 29-32

Oghren:45

Wynne: 65

I've come to believe that the Human Noble warden is around, 17-20 same with the Dalish elf.
1) Byrce calls the noble warden Pup.
2) Mother is constantly mothering him and refuses to send him to battle (Plus that little talk with her "You've grown up so fast") Along with the teasing with his lack of romance experience.
3) His brother, the age gap between the two seems pretty large has to be around 5-9 years between them, why else would he constantly call the warden "Little brother/Sister"

Dalish elf...well look at gammen, you become a hunter when you become a man yes?
The Dalish elf has his hunter tattoo as default, and of course the keeper calling them "Dalan" which means child....

Idk I just always have in my mind that my warden is the youngest grey warden ever, to achieve so much at a young age seems pretty damn awesome.

If i remember corectly for the Dalish Elves, you become a man qhen you become a full-fledge hunter (when you catch your first prey), Cammen was a hunter apprentice and Geyna considered him a "child"

I'd say Cammen is 16 or 17, while a Dalish PC I really think is 21 or so.



HN: 18 or so seems right.

DN: actually, 23-28 works for me, with the whole sibling argument.

CE: 16-18

DC: 19 or so

M: 22

I say a Dalish might be 18-20



Human noble- 22-25



Alienage Elf- 18-23



DN- most likely 25-28



DC- 20-28



Mage-18-23



I say make up your age doesnt really matter always saw my cousland as 25years old.

I've always thought it's kind of funny how they let you make an aged war veteran-type character, but everyone treats that character like he/she is a late teenager. I guess accounting for race and gender is enough already.

I've always looked at Elissa as 24, and while she would indeed probably be married off in any other family, I think Howe made it apparent (and is quite disgusted) that the warden's father respects their wishes.

Why is everyone pigeonholing the Dalish character into the 18-24 slot?



There is nothing in-game that indicates it as such.

There's a bit of a leeway for the second son of daughter in a family, since the firstborn (who's also a son), Fergus, is already married and already has a child of atleast 4 years? The rest I'd have to agree with Scalett Dragonavicious

Magi - 19-25 (I would think you wouldn't be that old, but Jowan didn't seem all that young) (Jowan = 23-26 | Lily = 22-24 | Cullen = 26-28 | Irving = 78)
City Elf - 18-22 (I would guess all those getting married are about the same age, and this is what the others seemed to me) (Cyrion = 45-48 | Soris = 19-20 | Shianni = 18-20 | Valendrian = 68-74 )
Dalish Elf - 19-23 (Clearly a Hunter, as you kill wolves in the origin, if you hadn't been you just became one) (Tamlen = 20-24 | Maren = 21-25 | Marethari = 66-72 | Merrill = 22-24 | Ashalle = 55-57)
Dwarf Noble - 26-30 y/o (Your supposed to be a seasoned fighter taking on a high military command) (Bhelan = 22-25 | Trian = 40-43 | Gorim = 30-34 | King Endrin =  67-76)
Dwarf Commoner - 20-24 (The sister isn't all that old, and this age just seemed right to me) (Rica = 25-27 | Kalah = 43-49 | Leske = 32-35 | Beraht = 55-58 | Jarvia = 34-37)

I get the feeling Leiliana is about 30, maybe even a bit more. She's done a lot, and she says that she's older than she looks.



I tend to assume the dwarf noble can be 30 or even a bit more, the circle mage up to 30 (though that's pushing it a bit) and that everyone else is under 25, with the city elf probably being a teenager.

Hmm... I always thought of Morrigan as quite a bit older, at least 30-35. She seems mature and quite wise.

Our Warden is probably no more than 25, whereas Alistair is closer to 30.

As for elves, I don't know what ages they can be. I know they are no longer immortal, but they do still have long lives, I believe.

I'd have put Alistair in mid-twenties at the least. His voice and look don't strike me as young, though he can occasionally act like a 19 year old.

yeah, if I remember correctly it was a thread about possible actors to play the parts if there was a movie and David Gaider said that everyone was coming up with actors that were far too old for Alistair and I'm sure that he said that he was only 19ish.

OK I didn't remember correctly o_O I found the thread  and while he does say that everyone is picking actors that are too old for alistair, he doesn't give an age, just a couple of actors names Simon woods and Hugh Dancy who are late 20s early 30s so I was well out there *cough* don't ask me where I got the 19 from.  Anyhoo nothing to see here, back to guessing ages guys.

I don't think Oghren is middle-aged just yet, because despite being a, uh, "rascal" by nature I find it unlikely that he wouldn't have become a bit more mature by his mid-40s. He strikes me as a guy undergoing a crisis of leaving his wild youth behind, so I'd guess he's 35-40.

I'm pretty sure Morrigan is younger then she seems.... you know, wise beyond her years. She has been raised solely by a human hating abomination, there's no way she's older then 26 and I'm still leaning more toward 23-24. Her mother would have wanted a young body to steal and she wouldn't wait to possess her until she's 30-35.... unless all that stuff was just a lie. Never mind.


Alistair hadn't become a full blown templar yet so I'm certain he wasn't more then twenty something either. If he was 30 he would certainly have graduated from Templar training already and would be addicted to Lyrium or something.

My guess is that the majority of the playable characters are between 18-28, just because of the way that everyone treats you. Elves are probably the same age  as humans, maybe they still have a long life but it says that they were affected by humans so I'm guessing they're lifespan was affected as well and it's probably now the same as the human lifespan.



But here's something to think about. Everyone talks about how Dagna (the dwarf who wants to go to the Mages Tower) is young, adorable, and a kid. Ok so here is a quote from her.

So that makes me think that maybe the Grey Warden is older..... hmmm. 

What we really need is a game developer to just tell us how old they are, then we won't have to wonder any more and I can finally sleep again..
