I'm curious to see how everyones' favorite and least favorite classes have changed between games with the huge overhaul of them all in ME2.

For me ranked from favorite to least favorite:

ME1

1. Infiltrator
2. Adept

Only played infiltrator and vanguard in ME1. Vanguard was more fun.

I haven't tried soldier, sentinel or engineer yet. I played Vanguard and Adept in ME1 and find myself playing the same thing in ME2.

I really liked playing an Infiltrator in the first Mass Effect and the class got even better in the second game. I thought playing a Soldier was incredibly boring in the first game, and it got slightly less boring in the second. Vanguard was probably my least favorite class in the first game, but it's my second favorite in the second.

No i imported my character from my first mass effect play through and kept the soldier class. i think it's the best. "a gun for every situation" although vangaurd is a close second but i loved the soldier class in both of the mass effects.

Vanguard - I really hate this class at the start.  All of the other classes I probably died no more than 10x in the insanity playthrough and NG+.  Vanguard, probably died 15x on Omega

I was always the soldier class in Mass Effect, and I will always be soldier class in Mass Effect 2.

People ask me why don't I change it up a notch, but to be honest I enjoy the guns too much. Not only that, but it also gives me more reason to use my team mates powers.

ME1 (Normal): Solider

ME2 (Insanity): Vanguard, infiltrator ... Soldier, Engineer



The vanguard is just ridiculously fun on insanity as each battle tends to be a hectic chain adrenaline rushes. The infiltrator is nice, but can be boring due to the overpowered Widow. Things tend to die before I hit the battlefield with that class. Haven't tried adept or sentinel yet.

Soldier, Infiltrator, and Engineer unranked because after playing as the above 3, they just felt too bland and/or underpowered for me to finish a playthrough with

ME2:

1. Sentinel (not entirely happy with the way it was changed, but still fun in its own way)
2. Vanguard (SHEPARD CHARGE! *boom!* What's not to love about that?)
3. Infiltrator (making heads explode with the Widow is SO much fun, especially now that the scope doesn't shake like an epileptic crack-addicted Downs Syndrome patient in a strobe light)
with Soldier, Adept, and Engineer tied for #4 (again, all fun in their own way  )

vanguard in ME2 is just so awesome.

Now all classes play differently, but all are entertaining. I love it.
