I played it in the past 6 months. Before that I played it for about 1 year after it came out. The mods certainly help the re-playability of it, but in the past few years, if I want a long/engrossing gaming experience I go with Fallout 3 or DAO.

Besides finding new and creative ways to kill the Adoring Fan, no.

There are some really cool mods out now. Deadly reflex is one of my faves because you can explode the adoring fans head.

Oh....so your saying if i were to track him down and get lucky and interact with him it would be a big letdown?

"Fish sticks..."

And by the way, is Evander Kal'Reghr not an awesome name, or what!?

You're probably thinking of Ma'iq the Liar. A Khajiit.

I stopped playing after I finished the main questline in that expansion...what was it? Shivering Isles?

Are you talking about M'aiq the liar? And I'm pretty sure he's a khajiit.

Edit: Crap Caozen beat me to it

I still play it. Like Godak, I'm a sucker for the open-world games, and I find it a relaxing diversion.

I couldn't even finish it. I played for a long time too but the story was slow and boring and the world was empty and lonely......I wasn't a big fan really.

Seriously. I was so damn lonely in that game. Everyone sounds the same, looks the same.

The only person who liked me reminded me of these:

Lifts-Her-Tail: Certainly not, kind sir! I am here but to clean your chambers.
Crantius Colto: Is that all you have come here for, little one? My chambers?
Lifts-Her-Tail: I have no idea what it is you imply, master. I am but a poor Argonian maid.
Crantius Colto: So you are, my dumpling. And a good one at that. Such strong legs and shapely tail.
Lifts-Her-Tail: You embarrass me, sir!
Crantius Colto: Fear not. You are safe here with me.
Lifts-Her-Tail: I must finish my cleaning, sir. The mistress will have my head if I do not!
Crantius Colto: Cleaning, eh? I have something for you. Here, polish my spear.
Lifts-Her-Tail: But it is huge! It could take me all night!
Crantius Colto: Plenty of time, my sweet. Plenty of time.

Same. Not to discredit the game for those who do enjoy it, but I just couldn't get into it as much as I tried to. Had a similar problem getting into Fallout 3 as well, but I managed to enjoy it to the end.

I still have the game and have beaten it several times and modded it to death. I will most likely play it again at some point. It was a great game overall although I felt it was shorter in content compared to Elderscrolls 3 Morrowind.

I agree with the previous replies regarding Oblivion. I got lost too may times to complete the quests and finally gave up completing the game. I even had the $24.99 walk- through guidebook and still could not finish the game. However, I just finished The Witcher" game which I highly recommend.

Fallout 3 was meant to be bleak and lonely.  I found it far more enjoyable...with one exception.  The story sucked Donkey balls.

Most of Fallout 3's NPCs were pretty memorable. It's kind of hard to forget a swindling man like Colin Moriarty, or Betty, the psychotic little girl in Tranquility Lane.

Oblivion had quite a few as well, but they don't really hold much water to the sheer consistency that Bethesda did with the third Fallout. I think that's what makes playing through it a little bit more bearable for those who don't really prefer such massive games.

I think the main reason I kept playing FO3 was 1) Liam Neeson was my father and 2) My PC was utterly adorable and the clothes were awesome.

I modded it extensively though, but eventually got bored.
