Yeah. The level scaling is what screwed up my first three characters. Who would have that choosing the skills you use the most as a major skill would screw you over in the long run?! Jumping off balconies for an hour to raise acrobatics, and thus speed, was not a pleasant experience.

About mods...if there was one thing I could do, it would be to change the armor rating on the fur armor. I thought this armor looked great and it's a shame that once you get past a certain level it no longer becomes practical. Instead, light armor users have to settle with the ugly glass armor. :(

opening the CS will allow you to change the stats of any armor and then theirs mods if you play on a PC that is.

Realism mods are great for oblvion.

Doing things like keeping bandits and marauders in weak armour but adding Raiders and Mercenaries which were the same but made more sense to have higher level armours.

I liked Oblivion, but the level scaling sucks ass, as do the voice acting, it kinda ruined the game for me. I havent finished it yet, but i don't think i ever would have gotten as far if it werent for the mods and cheats on the pc version. The most interesting quest-line and characters are by far the Dark Broderhood, after i was done with that i got kinda bored. The graphics are nice though, and i remember i used to just ride around to take nice screenshots. :P

I loved Oblivion, it was my fave game and played alot.. until I got DAO and became my new favourite. Actually I think I spent most of the time creating mods with the oblivion construction set. It was so much fun creating my own town with funny npcs. I even made a npc looking like my brother (only a bit alien-like) and added some quests to know his story and so on, nothing serious but it was a lot of fun. My brother acted angry about it but some days later he asked me how things were going with the mod and even had some ideas of his own

You can find the strongest bow in an oblivion gate in a pool of lava. Look it up on youtube.

Now if I had only kept the PC version I would have probably liked. Why didn't I just bother to put mods on it? Well, I was lazy. The thing about the game was once I went through it the first time I couldn't go through it a second. Maybe I'm looking at it the wrong way but to me everything else seemed to surpass it. When I finished the PS3 version, I got the PC version because I wanted to try out the mods. But I just couldn't get to it. I also wanted to try out the Shivering Isles expansion because when I tried to install it on my PS3 it wouldn't work. But even with that expansion on the computer, I just couldn't get to it.

I eventually sold the PC version for money. In the end, I regret doing that. It didn't need to be sold even if I didn't have any use for it. I paid good money for that game. I shouldn't have sold it like it was junk. It was a good game. And now that it's been a long time, I feel like playing it again. Lesson learned I suppose. I'm actually hoping I didn't sell it. I might still have it. Sometimes I assume that a game was sold even though it's just that haven't played it for a long time. I think I'll just go check and see.

Oblivion could of been a lot better. It's sad that they cut half the stuff in their E3 demo. Anybody else miss the old Dunmer voice?

Oblivion's a better game.

Morrowind's a better world. (Frankly, the only reason I played the game.)

I have played it on my Xbox for like 3-4 years.

If I get a nice PC sometime I will definitely start playing again.

With mods!
