I have played it on my Xbox for like 3-4 years.

If I get a nice PC sometime I will definitely start playing again.

With mods!

mods are great as it gives you more freedom to make the game more to your personal tastesPosted Image

I'm a hardcore TES fan, I just replayed Oblivion(and beat expansios for the first time, I've played the original game tons of times though) I just reinstalled Daggerfall(everytime I get into it something happens to my computer and I have to restart -_-) and Morrowind(played tons of times too) and I just finished playing Arena(I need a life...) though I like Daggerfall, Morrowind, and probably Battlespire(haven't played though) better then Oblivion.....(unless you play with a ton of mods that "fix" the game)

I really, really want to. But see, I had this character that was freaking awesome, her name was Hope. Well, my computer caught a virus and BAM all of it was gone. All of it. My computer was wiped in order for it to start up again. And it cost me $200. And...

Sorry, it's sensitive subject. :P

So true. Posted Image

Maybe there is a mod with a character that shouts "ENCHANTMENT!" all the time...

Hmm...

I actually enjoy the lonely aspect of The Elder Scroll games. Games tend to go ****** up once you're forced to rely on any sort of AI. Never played a game yet where i haven't at some point or another got thoroughly pissed off with retarded AI mechanics.

For example, and i'll only use recent BioWare games as they've managed to evolve the AI aspect somewhat, ME1 & 2 team mates shooting into walls, not following simple instruction thus engaging enemies before I'm ready or not taking cover etc etc.

DA:O; Melee characters just standing there doing nothing whilst i get pummelled or not using skills i've set up in the tactics screen. On occasions party members going doing their own thing (like chasing some random trash darkspawn down a tunnel whilst the rest of the team is getting swamped with mages, Elites or taking down a boss.

There's a lot more examples and that's why i prefer going solo or playing lone RPG's

I like the way Fallout 3 handled it.

Optional companions that suck at combat(Except for Fawkes) but at least give you the the feeling you're not alone.

I played Oblivion for the first time on my new tv, and I can't believe how everyone looked not so nasty on an SDTV.

"Played 681 hours, last played today"

But without mods i'd been lucky to get 60 hours out of it.

681 hours? That's almost a month! :o

It's one of the most expansive and detailed gaming worlds ever created. It never gets old. I'm still waiting for the sequel, Bethesda...

Got Oblivion GotY Deluxe yesterday on Steam, just as TheSpaceKraken did.

My word, it's hard to find mods that don't look stupid. Even harder to find non-stupid looking mods that work, too.

there's thosands of mods,it all depends on what your looking for. Clothing, armor, weather, towns etc. There are supurb mods out there that many months of time were put into.Animation mods also are some excellent ones you just need to know where to find them and what to look under.Try TesNexus forums, they're very helpful there.

Im still playing it on xbox360 I kinda still love it but havent played in a while because I can't remember what I was doing in it and leveling seems pointless now. Although my saved game is over 200 hours long I made the mistake of picking a pre-created class instead of creating my own. Should I start allover? Hhmmm I want to but it seems like a slog...

Erm he looks a bit like Conan O'Briens slightly disturbed brother lol. You couldnt make anything even close to that without mods on the xbox, looks like you put alot of work into it. Mmm now I want to start a new game but the football is starting soon. Tonight I shall do it.

Alright then, I'll simplify.
I don't want s|utty body replacers, s|utty armor, anime-esque hair, overpowered armor and/or weapons, mystical magical towers with a thousand slaves inside and all that. I just want basic stuff that fits in with the look and feel of the game.
My options are slim, and as such I've settled for the Lineage 2 Elves mod and a handful of others.

body replacers come in two types.clothed meaning underwear and nude, your choice. Many armors are not over-powered and range covers all tastes, you just have to spend time going thru the catagories or ask in the mods detective topic at nexus. Its easy to find your likes, believe me .
anime stuff while a new addition is I agree not to my tastes either but as I said spend some time before saying there is nothing because there is plenty.
