I'll have to go back and count, but I'm pretty sure my first ever career from years ago has well over 20 slots used, another career probably has 10 or so, and the current career has 10 as I said. That makes around 30 or 40 slots total used across all careers, which wouldn't be consistent with the answers I found elsewhere. I'd like to know if anyone has a definitive answer as to how many save slots are actually available, and perhaps how they are proportioned across careers. It will help me figure out what saves to clear out from older games. I keep a lot of separate saves both for in-game purposes and because I like to have the option to go back and revisit different parts of the story/game without having to start yet another new career and playing all the way through
Also, does the PC version work the same way save-slot wise? I'm thinking if there were a limit, I could easily copy my save files to another location to clear the slate on my PC. I wonder if I could do this by transferring some of my 360 careers onto a thumb drive, then delete them from my 360s HDD and bring them back or swap them out with other saves as needed. I'm a little scared to do that for the 360 though, since it feels way too easy to corrupt the saves and lose them forever. Thoughts?
