Shep's hair needs to be longer.

Seriously. I want a long hair option. I'm sick of the bald space machine with the ugly hair. I want nice long hair BW. >_<

I just can't stand how freaking long it takes to get to the point where I can make a new face if I screw it up. GOD DAMN THAT INTRO SEQUENCE.

Technically, if you get the updos, Shep does have long hair. That's not exactly military standard.

Technically speaking, female in the army could have long hair...It's just that they don't usually let their hair down when fighting or performing other assignments....

Shepard is 32, of course he's going to look a little old. I can make Shepards just fine.

I know plenty of 30-35 year olds and none of them have the horrible complexion that I've seen of some MaleSheps.

And the "soldier" argument is a cop out.

Bioware won't try to improve it for ME3 though.

As much as Fallout 3 sucked, their custom faces are far superior to Mass Effect's.

custom mansheps are kinda fail, but custom femsheps are pretty good.  Fallout3 faces are pretty much fail all round

And magically enough most humans can't run around in combat with heels and not break their neck. This is a sci fantasy game. I can have bloody long hair if I want to. :crying:

Besides: Shep's no longer with the alliance military in ME2. So what's the excuse now?

I'm not asking for waist length hair. Just something to the shoulders would be enough.

Or hell just a decent ponytail.

Also, no one in the ME Universe has long hair, except Miranda. Apparently her father's dynasty needed long hair. And when she escaped, he rectified this mistake with Oriana.

It makes so much sense now! Longer hair=unruliness.

FemSheps are fine, it's the MaleSheps that suck. There's more detail in Mass Effect but that comes at the expense of looking geriatric where in Fallout it refused to even give you that option so your character actually looked their supposed age.

I wouldnt mind waist length hair for my femshep :crying:

and maybe a  Duncan beard for the "myself" shep.

Overall I agree, I was very disappointed with the lack of improvement in the char creator from ME1 to ME2.  I really wanted to create some screenshots to show the progression of my Shpards.  For instance... In ME1 my femshep had a very short military cut for her pro alliance mentality.  In ME2 I gave her th longest hair possible and aged her a little bit to show her new loyalty to Cerberus and her experience.  In ME3 I want sightly longer hair and the ability to add scars again to show further progression.  Ive always liked doing things like that.B)

Can we get a full facecode for that?

The facecode won't work entirely by itself, because things like the tone color of the skin isn't possible without the Gibbed Save Editor, but with the gibbed save editor, you can to a tab called "Headmorph" and just import any exported headmorph file and wala!, you take on every aspect of that Shepard's physical appearance.

But note that importing a femshep's headmorph onto a male shep's headmorph doesn't work, so keep your genders with the respective head morphs.
I've uploaded a few of my shepard's head morphs here.

That Shepard I posted, Zephrael, is up here too

Would it be possible for them to patch something like the new Shepards look like into the game? Those hairstyles and colors should already be in the game imo.

I somehow doubt Bioware wants Shep to be a dark elf, at least officially. Well, at least, that's what the skin tone looks like to me.

I dont know, in a cyberpunk world most skin tones and hair colors would work I think.

I would look at AnathemaDye's shepard with white hair as an exampl of how it could fit.  Edited because I didnt want to have to make another post for just a sentance.

I'm just bothered you can't *edit* your face upon importing. It's like "import the face or start the whole face over."

Yeah I know, that's why I'm getting to know the Gibbed Save Editor more. It's nice being able to give my shepards different hair styles, eyebrows, facial hair, eyes, etc.

I thought both Oblivion and Fallout 3 had ridiculous face creation systems. You could never alter a single section without it stretching something else. In the end my character looked like a gurning fat head...glad I played in first person so I could never get a look at him.

Its a shame EA never gave BioWare access to there player creation programs. Both Godfather and the EA sports range have very good player creation systems. The best alround though has to be Saints Row 2. I thought the gameplay was crap when compared to GTA IV, but I used to love making created faces for the community to enjoy.

Men have a thicker skin than women, so they can look older at the same age.

Just a friendly FYI, soldier =/= marine.

But I agree. Having a guy in his 20s running around with long hair saving the galaxy? Whats this, Power Rangers?
