*insert nerdrage @ no PC version*

I'm not raging but it is disappointing. Playing SFIV isn't as fun knowing SSFIV is out there.

Yeah thats annoying too, i got a 360 few weeks ago, but if i had to pick, i would get pc version if was one for SSFIV Posted Image

Have been thinking about getting this for 360, I hear the characters are all unlocked from the start, so I don't have to beat it with X to unlock Y, Y to unlock Z and so on. I wasn't extremely good at SF4 but I've been trying to pick up the ropes again, since I used to be a dab hand with Ken back when Super Street Fighter 2 was released back in the arcades.

Any of you guys/girls still playing SF? I'm trying to improve with the TE stick, and getting some matches in when I can. The tournament DLC comes out soon too.

I'm still playing Prime. Hopefully at least 2 others are still playing so that we can start a tournament on the 15th with the free tournament mode dlc/title update. I think I've seen Kordras still playing as well.

I just got SF4 vanilla for the PC (yeah yeah I know, I initially shunned it for being in 3D, stupid me) a few days back and I must say this is one of the most enjoyable pick-&-play games I've seen in a long long time, whether you're a hardcore fighter or just a casual player, and one of the most satisfying and faithful revivals ever of a popular classic.

Even though I wasn't that much of an SF fan before (was more into Samurai Spirits or Darkstalkers) but now I can't even stop watching all the videos of pro matches on YouTube! It's way more fun than WWE! lol

The presentation and polish is top-notch as well and shines throughout the user interface (yes I love that pop song too which everyone else seems to hate,) THIS is how games should be made. can't wait for Super SF4 to hit the PC! and Rolento better be back by then! <3 (and I better have gotten an arcade stick, although my Logitech Rumblepad 2 seems to be the best PC gamepad you could get for fighting games, with its floating D-pad and custom macros)

I wait with baited breath for SSF4 on PC. Damn you Capcom. SF4 is my favorite game, but my friend has SSF4 and its better. Over 30 characters...I'm missing out on alot.  :(

Street Fighter IV was one of the most pirated games on the PC in 2009 so I doubt we'll see it. It probably would've been announced already.

Pirates shmirates. Capcom still made good money from the pc version. They'd make more with SSF4. They have announced that no pc version is currently under way. Rockstar said almost the same exact thing about Red Dead Redemption. My guess is publishers wait to see how the console version fares before announcing a pc port. And if it doesn't come to pc maybe, just maybe...I'll buy a new computer.  :)

Ya I'd wait 2 or 3 months, PC ports tend to take a while with certain publishers.

They announced an arcade version of Super SF4, and since their arcade platforms are essentially PCs running Windows XP (AFAIK, don't remember exactly where I read that) a proper PC version can't be too far away!

Sadly though, all the hardcore players will be on the console networks, and unless they implement cross-platform multiplayer, it probably won't be a lot of fun online on the PC :(

There's also been rumors? of Rolento (YEAH!) Rainbow Mika and Hugo as DLC for SSF4. Eitherway I hope they bring "Indestructible" back for the PC version :D youtube.com/watch?v=0M2vUjkMBEU

Rainbow Mika? O.o I wasn't a fan. I rather they bring back someone like Q or Elena in place of her. Mika always struck me as too much of a silly comic relief character. There are enough of those as is. >.<

I hear you, not too fond of Hugo either, a couple too many ugly freaks in there already. Q would be awesome and Rolento's the only one I really really wanted even in the vanilla SF4. He was badass back in SFAlpha and it doesn't get more satisfying than ruthlessly beating down on people with that stick :D then hanging them down by a hook and cook em up with grenades for a finish haha

I [would like to] think they're taking their time to balance him out as the longer reach of his normals might be a bit problematic (and he doesn't lose his weapon unlike Vega)

ALSO, automatic win for having one of the best quotes in gaming history: ""I'll rebuild my empire... ON YOUR FACE!"

All the hardcore players on console? You're joking, right? There is plenty of stiff competition on the pc for SF4.

I'm hoping they don't announce a PC version. PC gamers don't deserve a great fighting game like Super Street Fighter IV.

I hope so, I'm still a noob so I can't tell between a pro and a scrub :P but the impression I've been getting was that the 360 and PS3 had a lot more players with their dedicated fighting sticks and everything (as my console-thumping friends like to laugh and point out every once a while)

The little I've played on console, it seemed the competition was easier. Rest assured though, there's plenty of skilled players no matter the platform. Thats what makes SF4 special - they made few concessions to casual players.

Basically Capcom's plans for fiscal year 2010-2011 have been published already, there's only 2 PC games coming this year and they've already been anounced, SSF4 isn't one of them (lost planet 2 and something else I don't care about either, dead rising I think ?). Capcom has been completely silent on the subject since then.
We'll see what the future holds when the arcade version is released but I wouldn't hold my breath for it.-_-

Woohoo!

I think I'm going to play the copy of Super Street Fighter IV for the Xbox360 that I actually paid for to celebrate.

The pattern is there: they release the console version, then release the arcade port, and finally announce the pc version. They'd be foolish not to. And to discourage piracy, they could require a key to play online, which apparently wasn't done for SF4. Problem solved.

Which game has hardware specifically designed for it selling at $150?? AND it's not for the PC (unless there's some hack drivers I'm not aware of)

^^^You can get a fight stick for both console and pc. I've talked to players who have bought the parts and built their own. Something to consider.

360 controllers are compatible with PCs. You just plug it into a USB port and go. Assuming that is a 360 stick, it should work fine.

Ya they sell 360 pads in the PC isle in my area and they have both the Xbox and Windows support logos on them.

A bit on the expensive side compared to other gamepads though.
