It's designed with the xbox360 as the lead platform, not expecting much.

So was ME...

The game looks incredible! I just hope Obsidian Entertainment is given enough time to complete it.

Rubbish Hero, I think what Busomjack was trying to say is that PC gamers aren't taken seriously by the industry since very few of them are actual consumers.
It's kind of like a thief trying to sue a home owner because he fell through the roof and broke his leg.

Whether or not this applies to you personally, I don't know.  However, I don't think you should hold it against developers for putting their emphasis on a more lucrative platform.  This is a business we're talking about, not a charity.

I'm impressed so far. The graphics are looking sharp. The environments look more Fallout-ey to me too. I was a lot less impressed by Fallout 3 when pics began surfacing. As far as New Vegas goes, what busomjack wrote early on is what Obsidian has been saying. Las Vegas wasn't as hard hit by the nuclear cataclysm as other areas. It's still relatively intact.

New Vegas Trailer

The above trailer from months back has a shot of Vegas' skyline. It's brightly lit and colorful for a city in Fallout's universe. I'm so looking forward to this game. :)

I heard from some guys at gamefaqs that around one of the mountains (I think) there is some crazy difficult super mutant encampment

I'm not sure if you were referring to that trailer, but I'm pretty sure that's not in-engine.

Yeah, it's not in-engine. The point is Vegas isn't supposed to look like it was bombed into submission. Call it reckless optimism, but I'm assuming Obsidian plans to give us a bright nighttime Las Vegas in the actual game too.

I hope it doesn't have bright night time that would be confusing.

i'm going to miss three dog in vegas. but really, this is going to be an awesome game. i love the screenshot showing the new companion AI instructions. I'm expecting better dialogue and character development in vegas, we'll see.

also, i definitely expect a neon apocalypse since Obsidian are specifically advertising the fact that vegas was not nuked. also thankfully, vegas doesn't have a subway system, so no more walking in subway systems!

The only thing I didn't like about Fallout was the "PipBoy".

Because you are irritating and wrong.

Anyway, Fallout Vegas. I hear there may be a desert!

PC gaming isn't going anywhere.

Because of one main reason. Power hungry graphics card needed to play at higher res & larger screen than consoles to make PC gaming more enjoyable than Console Gaming.

Shoot me now dog meat sucked balls! always running off to attack an enemy you didn't even want to mess with dying all the time too. Three dog was the s**t.

All NPC Party Member's sucked in Fallout 3.  Impervious to bullets but a slight hint of fire kills them?  Nice try Bethesda but the fail is epic.

Are you suggesting StarCraft, Dota and Counterstrike 1.6/Source e.t.c... are power hungry?
It would be pretty silly billy sitting with a 42 inch HD-TV when you basically sit, one foot away from the screen.

Unless you want to look at this..

As opposed to this...

Also, superior controls and games with actual depth, mods e.t.c...

Why is Bioshock on that list? lol. I was pretty sure that was a consol game imported to the pc. I doubt pc gaming will die anytime soon, but when a console gets graphics on a par with the best pc's. mods, and may aswell be a pc just with a controler then pc gaming will die. But i dont think that's too far off.

Yes I would play Counter Strike Source (or 1.6?  Really?) on a TV screen, don't care if they are not "Power Intensive".  Controls are subjective, rofl @ Depth, Mods sure PC has that over Consoles.  Etc?

Plus I am far closer to a monitor than a TV screen.

I was wondering about Duke Nukem Forever myself. Whoever composed that pic should realize the ultimate vapourware doesn't count. ;)
