I usually like fluff stuff, but this is just a story that goes nowhere. even badly implemented as RTO was (with the ooc dialogs) it was a story with relevance to your character. There would have been a good opportunity to reminisce about Duncan, or even to find some scrap of clothing - but you do get his swords. Would I have liked some other mention? Sure.
But making any sort of prequel - esque story won't add to your narrative as a character. Also, Darkspawn made a display out of Cailan, they obviously didn't think Duncan was worthy of the same treatment. Face facts, he's now so much fecal matter after being run through a darkspawn digestive tube. Making him a construct would be beating the idea to death. We already had Sophie and the Ogre. No more dead constructs as plot devices please.
As for making a DLC just reminiscing about him? There's no real plot element to it. I wouldn't mind a DLC that opened up Highever for another reason, and they could tie in a short blurb about Duncan-but that's it.

That would be a dragon age Sim game, so go and get a mod where you can get sims 2, 1, or three and create these characters and design your life the way you would like. Yes, they have armored clothes for Sim's god is that game nuts.

a dlc to play as Duncan or one where you go into the deep trenches and see him wearing his armor and he's a ghoul and you have to kill him then be able to loot his armor and then kill yet another brood mother
