Recruit Loghain and sacrifice him instead? There's a way you can take Loghain and not lose Alistair, but I can't remember how... :/

You have to either sacrifice Alistair, Loghain or yourself, or do Morrigan's ritual.

you lose Alistair. The trick is getting him into the throne. It's a bit harder to do given that there's a few spots where you have to harden him (and it didn't work for me last time)

you can get loghain as grey warden and alistair to marry anora
harden alistair : in his personnal quest, after speeking to goldana (in front of her house) tell him something like "everyone is out for themselves", and go in this way when he wants to talk to you about that later
at the landsmeet : arrange marriage between alistair and anora, you must do it after helping anora and before talking to eamon after the alienage (maybe even before finishing the alienage)
win the landsmeet vote
don't choose alistair to fight loghain, he will kill him on the spot

You can't get the fairy tale without a console cheat
... Of course, you could call the Console Cheat Maker Intervention

Hey your ideas intrigue me and i would like to subscribe to your newsletter.
I usually use a money cheat but i also have 18 completed plays now so it is more just to speed a few things along, as i am more interested in testing builds and equipment sometimes. Oh and kicking ass is cool too.

To end up with Alistair you have to do the DR. Any other option will result in Alistair's ragequitting, Alistair's death, or your death.

Only with cheat. Last check point for yours decision is a door on the Fort roof...so If You don't want Dark Ritual and You want to kept Alistair and yours Grey Warden alive, right before door to the roof type runscript zz_cli_debug, then choose
-Jump to area
-Jump to Denerim
-on the roof of Fort Drakon
If You will use it, You will just jump on the roof, and there's no need Dark Ritual or sacrifice for surviving.. In epilogue You should have Morrigan traveling to Orlais
P.S. Don't forget to tell Morrigan that You don't accept her offer

Well you can keep you and Alistair alive, and Morrigan babyless. But Alistair has to marry Anora.
Harden him on his personal quest, get him to marry Anora, take Loghain into the GW, and get him to kill the Archdemon.

Well, "cheat" way will let You keep alive Alistair even if You will kill Loghain..so You can keep Alistair in team, marry him, or whatever You want to..but as I said it's "cheat" way

Well the only way i made that happen was by keeping loghain alive and having him sacrifice himself.
Alistair becomes a drunk
I marry anora*as human noble*
Loghain dies
Everyones happy.

I sacrificed Loghain during my last playthrough as well. Alistair ruled with Anora and my warden worked to rebuild the Grey Wardens with Leliana. Sure, Alistair wasn't happy with Loghain's recruitment, but it was for the best so the potential king didn't end up like Cailan. Loghain got his death sentence, though in a slightly different fashion. Neither Alistair or my warden died, and didn't have to do Morrigan's ritual.

No unless you consider the fact that sacrificing Loghain instead is the only other option as stated.
