The fans of the ME 1 companions were screwed this time, and it's not unlikely that the fans of the ME 2 companions will be screwed when ME 3 comes. Tali will be there as a crew member and LI, I don't doubt that, but everyone else better prepare for anything.

I couldn't care less though, I don't feel a connection to any of the ME 2 companions, with two or three exceptions. No offense to any fans of course.

The datapad is ridiculous anyways. How do we even know we have the software that can read and understand the thing? How do we even know our trusty, standard issue datapads can hold it?

If I recall, we still don't have the technology to read Prothean data disks. Now, magically, we can read and interpret stuff from Reapers?

OMG!

Yes, that remind  me of the film Independence Day. Americans stoped super advanced aliens with Mac Computers.LOOOL.

Well seeing as how Mass Effect 2 shows or mentions at least four instances of Milky Way races using Reaper tech...

1. Heretics used 'Old Machine' tech
2. Turians adapted Reaper weapons tech
3. Cerberus equiped EDI with anti-reaper algorithms
4. Moving through the Omega-4 Relay depends on having and properly using Reaper tech (IFF)

...at this stage I think it can be said with confidence that there's nothing "magical" about using stuff from Reapers.

Using and understanding are different things.Cerberus couldnt even prevent that their people on the derelict reaper got indoctrinated and turned into husks. That edi has "anti-reaper algorism" is a bad joke.

Actually, it worked like a dream once Joker freed the Cerberus blocks on her.
