So I thought of a few theories for Mass Effect 3, let me know what you all think.

1. Team Members - They can return if they die.  I only say this because we know Shepard was brought back to life.  Granted it took two years and the Reaper threat seems more imminent however we know the technology is there.  At the end of the game if you lost any team member, their coffin is convenienty aboard the Normandy.  Is it filled or purely ceremonial?  I'm not saying whatever member was taken by the Seeker Swarms body was recovered but you get my point.

2. Genophage will be cured - This has been a major plot in both games thus far and depending on your choice in Mordin's loyalty mission you possibly could cure the Genophage.  It is also stated in one of the after mission reports that the Krogans would make great shock troops against any ground forces the Reapers may have, another subtle hint maybe?

3. Earth will play a role - Earth is constantly mentioned, either in Codex from Kasumi's mission or brief dialogue on it from Mass Effect 1.  I know Earth was mentioned in an audio interview with Casey Hudson saying it will play a role...I will try to locate the link.

4.  TIM will be evil - Not saying he's not now...but Mass Effect 2 missed that integral villain as Saren was in Mass Effect 1.  Obviously the Reapers are the main threat, but somehow I just feel that TIM/Cerberus will play a role with the Reapers.

5.  Joker will die - Joker is one of the original characters and of the very few that can't die in either game.  Ok he can die in his little mission on board the Normandy but that's not permanent.  He appears to be close with Shepard after all they've been through and I can easily see Bioware pulling this off based on maybe a decision we've made already or something that will happen in Mass Effect 3.

6.  Earth (Humanity) vs. Council Races - Now I think a great Renegade/Paragon option will be to either save Earth or humanity as a whole but all other sentient life will be wiped out...this would also play right into Cerberus's hands so maybe TIM will have some involvement as his ultimate goal is the advancement of the human race over all others...how perfect would it be for that to happen as it makes perfect sense.  To me this would be a hard decision.

7. Geth vs. Quarians - Now they could go to war and you could possibly lose one/both potential allies in the coming war with the Reapers or you could unite them both and have stronger allies.  This is hinted at in Mass Effect 2 with the option of supporting the war or not doing so.  Who knows, maybe supporting the war and than say letting Legion transmit the info he took from Tali plays a huge part...or it doesn't depending on your choices.

8.  Epic Space Battle - I can't remember where I read this, but Casey Hudson stated depending on our decisions there would be an epic space battle.  But in Mass Effect 2, you worked on getting the loyalty of indviduals, as in DA:O, I suspect we'll be getting the loyalty of council races, even those not part of the council.
