Hi Toolsetters (not to be confused with those from Eire, which would make you Irishsetters. Woof. But I digress)

Victor and I are looking for suggestions for a good, fan made, Dragon Age toolset created module or modules. We are looking for something that is basically playable (the more complete the better) and contains a good, well rounded adventure. It does not have to have custom content or anything (although it can), just a well rounded adventure. If you are working on one, or know of some being worked on by others, please suggest them.

The more suggestions we get from you all, the better, so please suggest away.

Thanks everyone. :)

Here's a quick list of some of mods that you guys might be interested in knowing about:

AmstradHero's Alley of Murders: (Released)

social.bioware.com/project/1398/

Features:
* Choices and consequences: Your actions could result in saving the lives of others, or causing their deaths.
* Full VO: Every character the player can talk to is fully voiced.
* Integration into the main campaign: Some companions will interject during the adventure, and your actions within the main story can cause others to react differently to you.
* 30 - 60 minutes of gameplay.

----------
Alexandus's The Bloodworks: (Final Stages of Beta. Fully Playable)

http://social.biowar...m/project/2101/

Story:
A society of Blood Magi known as the Crimson Blades have been quietly building their numbers and power over the last few decades.
With a Blight, Civil War, and a thousand other upcroppings of Chaos, the time is ripe for them to realize their ultimate goal: legitimacy and legality in Feralden society.
The board is set, the pieces are moving. However, the power of the forces arrayed against the Crimson Blades cannot be denied. The Templars and the Chantry are dangerous enough, but the forces their propaganda can raise to their sides are an even greater concern.
Should you choose, you can assist the Crimson Blades, and make their vision of a Feralden where their magic can be practiced freely a reality.
-------

DLAN_Immortality's Ser Gilmore Joinable NPC (Playable Beta)
http://social.bioware.com/project/789/

Concept:
Ser Gilmore was a knight for your father, Teyrn Cousland, and was about to join the Grey Wardens.

When Arl Howe invaded the castle, Ser Gilmore never thought twice. He told you to escape, to find your father and run away, and he, well, he would give his life for your family's sake and hold the doors for as long as possible.
You escaped thanks to Duncan. But what happened to your childhood friend?
Your family was slain, and Ser Gilmore... you can only assume he died trying to save you..... OR DID HE ???

I'd suggest Fragments of Ferelden http://social.biowar...t/1504/#details since we have done an interview with the creator a few days ago. I cannot comment on other cutom mods though ..

I'll also be putting a ~6 hour long module into public test later this week.  It's fully playable, quest-heavy and I'm hoping it will be a bit of a showcase for heavily scripted boss encounters.  Plus it will be totally standalone, not the start of a series!

It really depends what you're looking for though, my modules tend to take broad liberties with the lore ;)

I have the first part of an episodic mod in the making with a small team but it probably won't be ready for whatever this is for (and we haven't officially announced it yet but will soon).

Actually I don't think people really mind.  Every module doesn't need to follow Dragon Age Lore; I fully expect some future mods to not be set in Thedas at all.

Oh and yes, you should definitely check out Alley of Murders. That was a very fun project to work on.

I'd like to thank Questorion and danien.grey for already mentioning my module Alley of Murders.

It is an add-in for the single player Dragon Age campaign, offering two new quests in Denerim. It is designed to feel like it is part of the game as much as possible, featuring full voice over work and presenting the player with difficult moral choices just like the main campaign.

I would consider it a complete module, and have made another update to it today so that the module is (hopefully) as polished and bug free as official releases.

As for other mods, the only ones I've played in full are Fragments of Ferelden and Kal-Sharok, both of which are interesting stand-alone mods.

The Bloodworks contains new specializations to enjoy, new companions, a choice that results in two entirely different quest lines, and a as-yet-not-revealed bonus mode after those quest lines are completed.

If it's a balanced mod you're looking for, we hope you find the Bloodworks appealing in that regard.

I also want to mention Return to Korcari Wilds. :)

And Chris, no offense meant, but before you start playing quest mods you should take a look at Qwinn's Unofficial DA:O Fixpack.

Well, there's social.bioware.com/project/1384/, which is the continuation of the nwn module "rose of eternity".  The author, Challseus, is well known for the excellent quality of his mods in the nwn community and from what I see on his journal, he intends to  mantain his standards even in dragon age.

Have not yet played Return to Korcari Wilds, but it does look interesting.

Have played Alley of Murders several times (with the "two arcane horror" room that's since been changed--now *that* was fun!) -- Highly recommended. I haven't played most of the "standalone" modules so I can't compare and contrast, but I was *really* impressed with Alley of Murders overall for balance, plot, voice, etc.

QWinn's fixpack isn't what Chris is seeking above (not a playable module/well-rounded adventure)--but Chris you *really* need to take a look at it. Seriously. Like *yesterday*. It's not perfect, but it's very good.

When will Bloodworks be released, now that it's so close to wonderful?

Can we get any hint about what this is for? This is exciting, even though my own mod won't be ready in at least a few weeks.

That there, was simply... stunning! I can't believe how great a voice Gilmore has found! If I didn't know better, I certainly wouldn't be able to distinguish him from the original cast. Just - Superb!! :o

A shout-out to Immortality and her Ser Gilmore mod (see the link posted before). Even though I don't use it personally, I know it is of high quality from the praise I've heard on the Infinity Engine modding boards (mainly Spellhold Studios in my case).

Secondly, I would like to point out Qwinn's latest accomplishment: Qwinn's Unofficial DA:O Fixpack - it's very thorough, and I can personally vouch for the integrity of the fixes included. Take a look if you haven't done so yet.

Warden's Arena is quite unique compared to the other playables. It is standalone and is customized far more than anything yet released. The mod has been in several beta phases for over 3 months now. I believe it is very stable and balanced and nearly ready for a full release(I still have a few additions on my list).

The mod lacks a lot of story content but it's something I would like to add. It seems people really like a story, and this mod is more fighting right now.  All the characters have voice overs and all followers have soundsets. Community created armor and weapons can be obtained after becoming an Arena Champion. That honor also grants the player the title "Arena Champion", added before their chosen name.

The mod can be played forever there is no end and your arena wins and loses are tracked in the heroic accomplishments section of the character sheet. I could keep going on but you'd really have to play it to see all the customization that has been done.

I unfortunetly had to move the project to a different website because of some uploading issues I had here. Since then those issues have been resolved but the other site had already taken off a bit as far as ratings and comments go. You can find my bioware project page here social.bioware.com/project/2624/, but you must follow the website link to see everything and download the file. I've put together a couple videos and have several screen shots there.

I appreciate the consideration, it's been a pleasure working with this toolset.

Thank you,

JSD

EDIT: I was going to upload the latest version to the social site but it won't allow me. The largest file you can upload is 71.526 MB, my mod is 102 MB.
