Tali is only after sex. Miranda is only after sex. Garrus is only after sex. Femshep is only after sex. Nobody has any issue with them?



Why aren't there any "I hate Jane Shepard" threads?

Beside the part where Jane Shepard blatantly come out and says she wants him, all the dialog is identical to the male version. Asking rather he has someone waiting for him back home and even complimenting him on his physique, although not in this particular conversation, are all part of the male on male conversation.

Just on this point. I've wondered why there are so many great books and movies that have sex and nudity but games get flamed for going anywhere near there. Now I think I know why and I actually agree with it.
People say "it's rated M for mature, so there should be". But it is not mature and nudity in this context would be more like porn than a love scene. That is what people object to. Not sex and nudity. People automatically associate games with juvenile stuff like in ME2 (and much worse games), as demonstrated by the outburst over ME1 by people who hadn't even played the game. They backed off once they saw it was tastefully done.
That's what i mean by the title.

Sure, it's the target audience is what draws all of the attention.  If games such as this were bought and played by people in there 30s for example, then most likely negative publicity would not gain traction, if there was even negative publicity at all.

From what I've seen in news and if that thread on gamer ages is anything to go by, I'd say most gamers are well over 20.

I don't really get why anyone wears armour in this universe, aren't shields and biotic barriers the most effective bullet repellant? Some stuff is silly, the high heels in combat or Jack's lack of a shirt (she'd totally die of exposure somewhere), oh and the wearing the same clothes and an oxygen mask in space stations O_o Other than that I think the clothing is ok for the most part:

• Miranda, Jack, Samara and Jacob are all biotics, if they fight anything like asari commandos are described in ME1, they want to be able to move freely and use barriers for protection.
• Tali, Mordin and Kasumi are techs, in most games techs are lightly armoured, if at all.
• Thane is an assassin who wants to move freely
• Grunt, Zaeed, Garrus and Shepard are really the only "Soldiers" and while I don't get why any of them really need armour, if anyone is gonna wear armour it's these 4

As for same sex romances, I think Bioware made the right call cutting them. The characters should be set in stone, I wouldn't like to see the game where every character is essentially bisexual. I don't even like that everyone wants Shepard, I've only done one romance in ME2 with Miranda, my femshep stayed loyal to Kaidan. I watched how they play out on youtube though, what i really liked was that Samara rejects you. I think more romances should be able to play out this way, I mean you can reject anyone but only Samara rejects you, it doesn't seem real. Maybe based on some of the choices you make on loyalty missions characters could reject your advances. I dunno, is that already in the game? Does Miranda still like you if you don't tell her to talk to her sister? Tali if you give the evidence to the admirals?

Beside the part where Jane Shepard blatantly come out and says she wants him, all the dialog is identical to the male version. Asking rather he has someone waiting for him back home and even complimenting him on his physique, although not in this particular conversation, are all part of the male on male conversation.

That can be discussed.. and have been! More then one time. For the record I like Jacob.. he makes me laugh..

I dunno.  Alexander the Great did pretty well.  That said, I'm fine with Bioware not turning their already-juvenile romance options into a statement on sexual diversity.  The FemShep-Jacob conversations were bad enough.  I'd hate to stumble onto the wrong part of the dialogue wheel with ManShep.

I'm just wishing that Molly Yard and Susan Faludi would collaborate on their own video game.  That would be epic.
