I'm assuming that's a quote or a reference to something. What's it from?Xpheyel wrote...

I actually always laugh at Joker and EDI whenever they talk to each other. lol

Like I have said in other threads, people (young ones especially) tend to confuse the comfortable bickering between people who have an easy rapport with one another (yes, common in old, married couples, or people have been friends for a long time, or brother and sister) for flirting because of the indoctrination they've gotten from romantic comedies and sit-coms.
My brother and I bicker like that, and we sure as hell are not a couple, nor am I harboring any desires to cheat on my husband with high school buddies who I communicate with in a similar fashion.

Do you think of them as a couple, though, or do you not? Or do you not care?

Well, I am pretty sure that EDI is Joker's true love, in a sence. For he seems to be the type who could love no person more than his ship, and EDI at the end of game can be considered the ship. Not a crewmember (they come and go), not a piece of equipment, but Normandy herself.
However, her relationship with Joker is strictly platonic, and need to remain that way.

I think EDI lays out pretty clearly that she and Joker aren't friendly that way. Still, I can totally see it. They flirt incessantly, even before they get friendly. Their little spats are very non-serious in nature and from the beginning I saw a lot of chemistry. There's also the fact that Seth Green calls it as much (a romance).
And yes, I know she's an AI. But she's still a sapient being and she's a lot closer to human psychology than someone like, say, Legion.
The body issue does provide a problem though.

I could see it working provided EDI ends up with an artificial body like Data, but only that way.
I'd prefer EDI looking like Andromeda in Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda...Kalithera wrote...

We'll get her an emotion chip, then.
And a cat named Spot.
