I saw this posted in another forum, so I figured I would come ask here. Someone saw on Corinne Kempas website that supposedly her charecter, Leliana will be coming to Awakenings..http://www.corinnekempa.com/

I was curious, has anyone heard anything more on this? Will they be bringing anymore of them back? Any chance of  Romance Pack, or at least allowing the Romance to carry over from Origins? Did I miss an announcement or post, I did look and didnt see anything so excuse the cluelessness if I missed it.

Im kind of excited if this is true, or at least I'd like to see Zevran brought over. But Leliana is a start and is cool. Posted Image

I watch Steve Valentine's twitter, and insofar as I've seen, there's nothing new going on for Alistair, which he comments on. At this point, I'd wager it's a Leliana specific DLC just to be on the safe side. Maybe another expansion where she's something like Wynne was for Awakenings?

I'd probably have to agree. Though, I want to be so hopeful on this one. It's just so hard to play Awakenings without them!

Gah! You know I'll argue on the publisher's side of microtransactions and premium content on nearly every occasion, but publishers are really starting to strain the idea of what makes a complete game. Next time why don't you just leave the combat out and make it premium content Posted Image

It could be for something entirely new. Leliana can re enter your life for any number of reasons- she's never romanced in my game, but we're friendly enough that she could come back and ask for me for a favour without it raising an eyebrow.

I'm more concerned about the handwaving. I've left her behind in Lothering on a number of occasions where she could feasibly not exist. Or for players who end up fighting her- what then? Another Oghren?

Since Leliana is a Chantry lay sister and Lothering isn't destroyed for a few weeks after you leave (and plot-wise you wouldn't come back) there's every chance she was evacuated. Sten, on the other hand, would be dead without you.

Up until the point where Sten stops angsting and punches his way through the iron bars.

Qunari honor does not dictate that he die for murdering a dozen farmers and loosing his sword. It dictates that he kick some arse, Darkspawn arse that is.

Of course that could be wishful thinking . . .

True, and I don't think the codex has anything about her dying if you opt to leave her behind. But she can be killed.

It wouldn't take too much work for a reintroduction from all scenarios, since it's basically lover, friend/companion, left behind, and 'well she looked dead but was saved from bleeding out by [fill in the blank].'

Although I suspect it would be more handwaving. Maybe a line of code to see if you parted ways as lovers or something else, for mild dialogue tweaks. :/

If she's dead in an imported game the DLC could just not work. It would be much less immersion breaking then, say, Wynne returning to life (again) and acting like nothing's wrong. My biggest fear would be if she were as vague and neutral as Wynne was in the actual game to accomodte all relationships. You know, Oghren and not-romanced Alistair were like that, too. Why are all your companions so freaking high maintenance that not seeing them for a few months is enough for them t pretend that they barely know you?

Alistair's I could find more forgivable only because he's there as the King, and not as your buddy and former companion. And Wynne annoys me so much that she could be offering me a thousand sovereigns and a way for two Wardens to have children together and my eyes would still cross from rage, so I can't really comment on hers. Oghren's... alcohol induced forgetfullness? >.>

I can see Zevran being the easiest to cross over, since he's blase about most things and just flirts outrageously regardless of everything. I would be highly confused if Alistair started being distant with my PC, since she shot Amaranthine the bird and took off to be with her 'true love', as the epilogue states.

Ah, who knows. I would love to see some of my companions. I've given up hope of seeing Shale again, though, so my feelings are mixed. Want to see Alistair, Zevran and Dog again, but I know I probably won't have Shale. :/

That be cool if they did have some DLC for Awakening. Sorry but I enjoy playing Awakening. I may not play it as much as Origin's, partly because it is longer and you do get the romance and of course more Alistair lol, but I'd definitely play Awakening's more if there was more DLC content. It adds more to the game and I'm definitely for adding more content.

For imported games, would they be able to know how your story went and be able to adjust it accordingly, if you left Sten to die..he wouldnt appear in your DLC for that Charecter? I mean, I know that sounds like much more work then they are probably going to put into it, and like you (Val) suggested it will probably be some small tiny roll..like shes standing there in an alley and doesnt remeber you, or you see her in some cut scene and thats all, but at the very least if it is she will have voice, if they are asking Corinne to come back and do it. So one can hope.

I guess for now, we can only speculate on it and wait and see. Some of us can hope they do! The rest can hope they don't...

I didnt mean to start a 'What should be added to Awakenings before what' Rant - was just a question on a post I saw, and wanted to check up on it because its an aspect 'I' miss in Awakenings. =/

Oh no, I missed it too. My PC got along fairly well with all her companions in Awakenings, but in truth, the only one she would have picked up and carried back with her to Denerim would have been Justice. There was a bond missing with most of them, and it was odd not having her old crew with her. I tend to play most of Origins with one set party, and not having Alistair, Shale, and Zevran was... odd.

What would be nice would be another expansion where you traveled along either with your LI, whatever friend you decided to accompany (if at all), or by your lonesome and you're asked by Eamon or Anora or Alistair to go on some mission that would bring you back into contact with some of your old friends. I doubt we'd see Sten (or Shale, sniff sniff) and if Alistair were king, he couldn't come with you most likely, but that opens the door to Zevran and Leliana and some others.

If they could somehow magically bring Justice along, that would be boss, but something tells me we'd be more likely to get Howe or Anders. :/

Oh crud.

I had to reformat my computer and lost all my game saves. I romanced Leliana with my main character, and was mad that she didn't show up in Awakenings. Guess I will have to do a complete playthrough of everything sooner rather than later.

That sounds neat too, and well, as long as it gets my Warden Zevran back, Im all for it! I've only been able to play Awakenings fully once, I just miss the old way to much and end up stopping and going back to Origins because of it...(I speak for myself only...I know alot of you like the new way..*Snicker*)

@Fantasy - There is a MOD someone is working on on the Nexus that is bringing them over the Awakenings, Leliana and Zevran and Dog so far, no voice but you can interact with them to a point and get kisses if you'd like, so if you like to play it and do miss them, its an option at least! =) Author is Firinneach

I like them both well enough (and Heaven spare me a drop of pity if I ever had both Anders and Alistair in my party at the same time) but Justice was the only one who really grabbed my attention on my main PC. Oddly enough, my take-no-prisoners, I've had quite enough of your **** Orlesian elf mage was very fond of Howe and indifferent to everyone else.

Heh, skimmed and noticed this interesting bit:

"Will tell u more when I get permission!

Sword and staff fighting in armor! Love this country it's stunning!"

Talking about New Zealand.  Sounds like he's working on a medieval-type role, though nothing up on imdb about what it is.

I'll be disappointed if there's only a Leliana DLC and none of the other NPCs.  Really can't stand her anymore.

I agree Addai67, but maybe one at a time? Because of time lines? Like with Steve he is filming and all, hopefully? This is from the other Forum that I got the original question from. Of course it's hear-say, but we can keep hope alive..maybe?

(Forum Posters Name Removed) I'm sure in the coming months leading up to DAO2, they will add in some of the old gang through DLC. As for the romance DLC, it was something Greg Zeschuk had mentioned as an off-the-cuff remark.

Quote

[Greg] Zeschuk said that the idea of adding more dating and love to the game after the fact is an idea he likes. He thinks of such possible content as, in his words, “a romance pack,” something that has nothing to do with combat and everything to do with relationships. “You know, It’s possible,” he said.

I think it's for a television show- I can't imagine him being shipped off to the Shire to record some lines for BioWare. XD

If it was, however, I will be most happy. And I agree with the Leliana one- while I'm more apathetic towards her than anything else, I'd gladly take Zevran over her any day. Alistair and Shale are my big hopes, but honestly, I can't see my PC being uber pals with her without having the rest of the party there. Meeting up with her, yes, since I mentioned my mage was friendly with her, but that was more 'I need to get along with you if we're going to stop this Blight' than 'omg maker SHOES'.

Right, I wasn't suggesting that it was DA-related.  But I would still be interested to see Steve Valentine in a medieval swordplay role.

I would be happier if we did hear him talk more about Alistair, though!  He says in response to a question if he will be doing more VA work for Alistair, "stay tuned," so that sounds hopeful... maybe?

He's mentioned Alistair before, but the only context I can recall is essentially 'talk to BioWare so we can bring him back :D :D :D'.
