As a dwarf noble either Zevran or Leilana would be a good choice - minimum height differences and it would be very useful to have a professional spy/assassin with you in that society.

Morrigan can work for a male dwarf if you think of it as her using him to get what she wants. And if it's a non-hideous dwarf you could go for Lel and Zev too. Lel seems like the type to overlook differences should she see something in the character, and Zev is the type to overlook... well, anything. Seems like he'd be up to try something new and different.
However, I could never romance any of the characters with a female dwarf... it just doesn't work. It doesn't work at all. Well... maaaayyybe Zevran, but I personally can't see him with non-elf females.

I don't like dwarfs. They are chubby and small. Except for Ogren, he's awesome!

ahh finaly a worthy question~! this has plauged me as well! i just can't take them seriously in a relationship and i think lel has to kneel down to make out >__> it's just weeeiiirrrrd
Think i'd go the "no time to romance while i chop stuff up with my larger than myself battle axe!" option or maybe zev, he is pretty short true....

My female dwarven noble (the one to the left) romanced Alistair, even though I had initially planned to let her pine for Gorim. The height difference during conversations doesn't look too bad either.... unless she's talking to Sten, which is always a little... awkward.

My 1st RL girlfriend was ca.6' 2", and I am 5 '9". She was also older, a student teacher, and I was a college Freshman at the time - my first one of the 21 yrs in my collegiate retreat in life.
While the height difference did create some needed change in my approach to dating, it was not a major concern for either of us; never intruded on our mutual respect for the other. In fact, I think she and some other women like her over my lifetime enjoyed the fact that I was not bothered by such insignificant fluff. And again, this was RL; not some fantasy realm which has more common differences than this to overcome. Lack of dentistry comes instantly to mind.
And I still prefer holding hands to placing my arm around the shoulders of women... of any height.

heheh! The kiss does look a bit awkward, but I am guessing that like myself, my characters close their eyes when smooching to avoid going crosseyed....

Seriously ? Another dwarf of course. But as this option isnt available ... meh.<_<
Come on, humans are just too big and elves are too fragile. And both cant keep up with dwarven endurance.

... that must have been the first time I've ever posted from a dwarven perspective.
Well DA is the first game where dwarves look any cool.

Being that I'm not a "dwarf" so to speak in real life, but I am only a 4'11 asian female, I don't find the height thingy an issue at all ... however, I do find even playing the bodily stature of a big muscular woman a bit unappealing to me LOL ... still, I played a female dwarven warrior and she was bad-ass in combat.

I don't like the look of dwarfs with other races. It just looks silly. With that said I went with Morrigan for the sex no serious relationship though cuz again I can't do it without laughing.metalcraze33 wrote...
I was think of playing on but can't see him in a relationship with any of the characters

No, no. I have standards. I may like short women but not one that is broader in the shoulders than me.

I find the dwarves really cute :<. And I never had trouble seeing the dwarves in a relationship. Height doesn't really matter in the long run.

I actually really like the stocky build of the dwarf, the only time it offends me is when a cutscene comes up (like when alistair starts talking to bann Teagan) and suddenly only the top of your forehead is poking out the bottom of the screen. makes me jealous of all those "tall folk". I feel your pain, midgets of the world.
