I would typically agree that a lot of teenage girls in JRPGs like Rikku and Vanille despite being hot are annoying.  However, this is Mass Effect and we have humans living lives as long as 120-150 years.  Miranda looks like she's in her early 20's despite being 35 so it's plausible for a hot 18+ teenage girl or to be well into her adult years.

So you got the best of both worlds.  The wholesome goodness of a girl in her late teens early 20's with the maturity of an older woman.(minus the wrinkles)

I'm talking about looks too, not only maturity. I prefer women in their late 20s / early 30s than late teens. And we have too many teens already, let's at least have one game that doesn't go that way.

I think it was mentioned that Liara is the equivalent of a 19 year old girl so it wouldn't be the first time Bioware made a teenage girl scroggable.
