Does Concussive Shot benefit from any upgrades, so that it's damage increases with weapon upgrades? Or remains the damage where it is and becomes vastly inferior compared to the other damage powers after you upgrade them?

I think you can only increase CS damage by putting points into the power.
People debate the usefulness of CS but I find the Area version of the power to be rather useful on enemies running to cover or storming my position and on Husk hordes.

Thanks. So it always remains with it's 350 points against Barriers? Meh. Thats hardly better than the powers which shouldn't do much against them, if they are fully upgraded. Even Overload/Energy Drain should do 320, right?

Concussive Shot is classified as a Combat Power. No upgrades for Combat Powers exist, but you can increase their damage. The best damage increase would be a Commando wearing the Blood Dragon Armor. This would result in +30% damage. I'm unsure what the final damage to Barriers would be, though, as I don't know how the game meshes the 30% damage and the damage multiplier.
Other than those two abilities, there is no other way to increase the damage of Concussive Shot.
Finally, I'm pretty sure that Overload and Energy Drain do absolutely no damage to Barriers, so you would actually get more damage out of even a Rank 1 Concussive Shot.

Overload damages barriers. In the same way that Warp damages Shields. The way they emphasized to use only good-against powers was a mistake. In reality, Warp does good damage to shields, it just doesn't get the multiplier. Same with Overload vs. Barriers.
Not the best choice in a fire fight, maybe, but definitely not an indecent one.

Can you actually target those defences with the abilities (Barrier with Overload/etc.)?
As far as I remember, you're just lucky if those guys stand near enough to the targeted enemy to get scratched too.

On the pc version you can target shielded enemies and use warp on them. Its not near as affective as using overload, and warp will be shaded red but it can still be selected and used.
