I decided to play through ME1 again for a new Shepard for ME2.

Outside the Normandy the game is fine. However, every time I enter conversation with Liara or Kaiden on the Normandy the game stops.

It isn't freezing. When I say stop I mean the game goes into it's conversation mode, the ambient sounds are playing, the characters idle animations are going, I can even access the pause menu (but can't save), but the dialog wheel doesn't pop up and I can't move or interact with anything.

I'm playing on a desktop that exceeds the specs and has the latest drivers. I have installed & reinstalled the latest game/patches/DLC on multiple hard drives. I'm running Win7 32 Home Premium.
