Awww. Leliana is such a sweetheart. If Alistair hadn't been there, she would have been my romance of choice for my female characters. At times her sugary sweetness can be a tad overdone, but they can't all be cynical and snarky.

And I might be the only one who thinks her original facemorph is beautiful as it is. The large amount of mods for her and Morrigan's faces out there is astounding, at least to me.

Indeed and some excess of sweetness is likely necessary to overcome the horror of what was done to her and the guilt from what she did to others.

I also am surprised at the popularity of the facemorphs, particularly Morrigan, whose features and golden eyes are striking.   Yet many seem to prefer a cookie-cutter femme fatale look.

APPARENTLY LELIANA MADE HER VISIONS UP BECAUSE SHE IS AN ATTENTION SEEKING FRENCH PERSON.

My internet ears are bleeding thanks to you Sago, but no Leliana is Orlesian first off. Second off she had a dream she claimed was a vision, may have taken it to far but she does not seek attention in the simplest sense.
She only claimed that so she would not be a faceless sister and become nothing in Lothering.

I agree too. I think that Morrigan and Leliana are great the way they are. I also think it's a little spooky this obsession some people have of remaking their appearance. I mean, if you love someone then hopefully it's their personality and you get the appearance you get. I never really understood this "I love you, if you only look a wee bit more like a super model and get another boob job" mentality.

Ah yes . . . the thought that has crossed the mind of every married man at least once.

In my first playthrough, Leliana annoyed the hell out of me. This time around I decided she'd be my main squeeze instead of Morrigan and her appeal slowly grew on me. I like her singing cutscenes and also the way she becomes so vulnerable when she admits her love for my character. I actually feel like there's a romantic build-up with Leliana instead of Morrigan's "hey let's go rut in my tent" style. Her backstory is pretty cool too.

Yes, some of the romantic dialogue is cheesier than Wisconsin cheddar. But I have a soft place in my heart for cheesy 80s fantasy movies like Conan and Beastmaster. The love scenes remind me a lot of those B sword-and-sorcery flicks.

It really depends if overly-cutesy is a turn-on for you or annoys the hell out of you.

DON'T WORRY BRO, WHETHER LELIANA IS A FRENCH PERSON OR NOT SHE IS VERY USEFUL REGARDLESS WHEN IT COMES TO TRAPS AND LOCKS. EXTRA EXP IS ALWAYS USEFUL.

I thought she looked lovely the way she was, but I did have to download a mod to change her hair because by chance she and my PC had the same hair style and color - it became irritating seeing them together and looking so much alike. I am of the opinion that npcs should have models that cannot be duplicated in character creation - so no one could have Lel's hairdo or quite achieve her facial features, etc. Otherwise you're bound to run into these problems.

They did that with Morrigan & Duncan.

Leliana is usually with me for lockpicking, and she's likeable. Morrigan disapproves of most actions unless I'm rude to people, so I prefer to leave her at camp, unless I plan to play an "evil" character who may end up having to kill Wynne and possibly Leliana. Leaving Morrigan at camp is the easiest way to keep her approval up.

I actually wouldn't mind having my character look like a younger Duncan, or at least have access to his beard style. The two options for humans kinda blow. Only dwarves seem to look good with beards, and they have far more options.

I generally play "good" characters, take Morrigan everywhere, and have no trouble getting her approval up.  There's so much jewelry lying around Ferelden, it's stupid-easy to get her to 100.  Of course, my characters also tend not to be rude to her in conversation, so that might make a difference.

Try getting a mod that allows for Dwarven Beards on Humans and Elves, give me a sec I will look for it on the Nexus.

Also my 2H Berserker/Champion gets totally tamed by her. I can wipe out Darkspawn like crazy, but all Leliana would have to do to him is smile at him, and he loses. The only thing that bugs me is his beard does suck so I will try to get that mod.
