Context was breakup.  He's nicer when it comes to reassuring the warden, at least until he falls in love, and trying to make them feel better.

Edit: And I thought I was pointing out the flaw in the logic of calling Leliana "selfless" for that reason.  *grin* that was my intent!  Though, as far as selfless goes, I would say that Zevran actually is pretty selfless.

Second edit: Actually, Leliana seems to be pretty ruthless to me, as well.  She does say she loves killing men in a conversation with the warden, even though she says in a banter with Zevran that she enjoyed the hunt.  Zevran's main weakness, which he acknowledges, is he's not cold enough -- any caring was supposed to be trained out of him but he somehow survived despite being being able to care.

HOWEVER, both characters are very interesting and much more than they appear on the surface.

Hmm, except Leliana never mockingly recites the poetry of one her victims - poetry from someone desparate to stay alive.  That was one of creepiest dialogues in the game, imo.

Hmm, except Leliana never mockingly recites the poetry of one her victims - poetry from someone desparate to stay alive.  That was one of creepiest dialogues in the game, imo.

OMG, I guess I wasn't clear enough @@  I thought quoting was enough. 

Edit: *grin* I already explained what I meant once, though :innocent:  The context was during a breakup, who was the nicest.  You may get hit with -46 approval (depending on when it happens) but he does try to reassure the warden.

it's not that you don't understand the Leliana love..it's that you don't understand people's opinions ****ing vary.

personally, as with all companions, there's things I both like and dislike about her..unlike most though, her bisexuality has nothing to do with it...I love all the people playing female PC's that romance her...typical male pervert. (not everyone but prob 99% of the males playing female pcs are)



also, personally, I don't care for Duncan....I think he's overrated, a murderer, and a tool..and anything but noble or heroic....but I don't go creating threads about it...I will voice my opinion in a thread about it..but I, obviously unlike you, understand everyone has their opinion.

No, although she does talk about torturing and manipulating others as a bard in a very casual manner; the localization notes in toolset for those lines read "like going to the store."

Each person has the right to believe what they believe, whether one person thinks its a fantasy, pure fiction or agrees whole-heartedly makes no difference to their right to believe in it.

Generalizing, insulting AND ignorant all-in-one? Nicely done.

With that kind of list a load of characters, both female and male, are awful people bent on testing your patience... with a sword.

I mean Zevran also has many of those qualities you listed, but he's a great character and romance. You can also say Alistair isn't a nice guy, given how he agrees with Gregoir when he talks about cleansing the tower (no matter what reasons he may use to argue for that opinion).

You'd have to lock up half of Ferelden if  you're going to judge these characters according to modern moral standards.

I must admit, I like the way you think, made me laugh if nothing else. I'm not not sure you can count the singing though since it's patetly not her voice.

Truth be told, Leliana is okay, but far away from the awesomeness of Zevran, Alistair, Shale, Morrigan and Sten. She ranks for me in the middle-rated Wynne category. It just happens that I like my companion snarky, thank you very much.
