Hey guys....
I redeemed my promo code for shale, but the problem is that it doesnt let me download Shale.
I dont know if this might be the problem,, but I entered the dlc code on my work pc that is connected to the net and my pc that has the Dragon Age on it, is my gaming pc and my home pc which is not connected to the internet.
I so badly wanted to play the Shale quest.
PLEASE can any one help.
I am really sorry if there is any other threads open on this same dilema that I have got.

On your gaming PC did you log in with the same account? Are you looking on the Downloadable Content tab when you're at the game's menu (the one that comes up after clicking on Play)? Have you checked your firewall and router settings on your gaming rig to make sure the proper ports are open for the game?

I'm facing the same problem too. Even the 'Your registered game promotion' page doesn't allow be to download my blood dragon armour or shale. From what I see on my package, the code expires on 30th April 2010 but its only 29th April 2010. I can log in through the game but refreshing the page doesn't show any of my downloadable content...

i also redeemed my code on this account and tried to download it, the only way to download it was buy logging in on the game and going to the dlc. shale is still on the "new dlc" tab and will not let me download it, only if i buy it first.

though on my promotions it clearly says i should have shale.

i emailed bioware and all I got was a "we currently know this problem and you will have to wait till we have it fixed" type of response.

so its either waiting, hoping for it to be fixed soon! before i finish this playthough, or be forced to pay 15$ on something that is free.

basicly so far ive experienced two MAJOR glitches that just killed off my gameplay a bit. all my items lost suddenly, and this... it sucks...

Thank you for you input and advice on this crummy problem.....

But it is still not letting me download shale....Is it maybe possible to put the .dazip file of shale on the forum for us to download? And I know it might infringe on some copy write laws of some sort, but I really am not wanting to pay an extra $15 for something that is already "given" to us......Please help us who want to experience the thrill of having a golem in our party.

Petfood -- have you tried connecting your gaming PC to the internet to see if that fixes it? I'm sure it will have to verify the code to make sure it's valid. My guess is that that's why it's not working. It will need to download the files related to Shale from the internet, too, as far as I know.



Found this thread last night when I was having troubles downloading Shale after patching to 1.03. I managed to redeem the code on the site, but then it was stuck at 0% and not budging.



I tried running the game as Administrator and when that didn't seem to work immediately, I tabbed out and looked for other solutions. When I eventually tabbed back into DA:O, it had downloaded a little bit of it. I guess I'd just been too impatient. Took forever to download, but I suppose it is a lot of content.



Anyway, good luck folks... hope you can get your stuff DL'd!

This is so frustrating. I tried the unofficial FAQ. I got my codes redeemed, ran the updater, logged in through the game but still nothing shows up on any of the 3 tabs in the DLC section...
