Hello all.  Playing ME1 on a new Windows 7 laptop, hoping to finally beat it before getting ME2 (I've gotten close before, but computer issues and life always got in the way before I could actually finish it).  I'm starting up my usual Infiltraitor, and thus created an engineer to unlock AI hacking for him.

Created the engineer, got through Eden Prime, and then went to the world with the blue alien chick.  Got to the fortress, slaughtered my way just before the rocket geth soldier and saved.  Hack, reload, hack, reload, hack, reload, etc etc.  Achievement unlocked, created an Infiltraitor and selected AI hacking as my bonus talent.

However, I didn't like the look of my Infiltraitor, so I decided to delete him and start over.  However, I couldn't select AI Hacking as a bonus talent.  Looking at my achievement history, it says that AI hacking achievement has not been earned.

I must have hacked that geth trooper hundreds of times since then (getting to 20-30 hacks at most before getting bored and quitting the game and deciding to come to it later) and the achievement still hasn't been unlocked.  Is there something I can do to stop this or get around this, or what's going on?

Note, this was before patching and getting BDtS, which I've done while typing this up.  So if anyone knows if something in the patches will fix this issues, I'd appreciate it if you gave me the heads up.
