Well so far what EA is doing is only hurting customers who buy it used cause gamestop doesn't have used copies at 45 like they should be w/o the dlc content.

ya, but at least when sombody does buy that used copy for 45 bucks, ea doesnt see a dime of it.  at this point i just like the idea of sombody/anybody makeing money on an ea product without ea getting any of it... i guess im bitter.

That's why if I do actually want to play a game they release I'll just rent it, I'd rather give my money to the store than to EA. I hate what they're doing by trying to ruin the used game market, it's purely out of greed because they don't see any of that money, like they don't make enough money already. I've probably bought half the games I own used, sadly if you want any game from EA you're better off buying new because they purposely withhold content to make you pay extra if you buy it used, it's just sickening the extent of their greed.

When I had a PC I never bought a EA game becasue of DRM. I thought it would be different on consoles, but its not. I'll never be buying a EA console game again that is for sure. I read that Bungie's next big game with Activision will be an ARPG. Lets just hope that Activision don't destroy Bungie like EA has done with BW. From all reports Bungie has retained more control over their games than IW, or BW has with EA.

I'm trading DA:O in for Lost Planet 2. Sick of the futility in waiting for nothing to happen! I will deffinately not be getting DA:O 2. And they can shove their overpriced crap DLC. Besides, there are a metric **** load of ARPG and RPG games on the way this year and next year. Considering we have had ZERO support from BW, the bar is very low for other developers to actually provide even a half assed support for their games.

Ill admit, im a bungie/halo fanboy... i was worried about the activision deal at first, but from the way it sounds, bungie got the deal they wanted.  plus they cant be any worse than microsoft.  an ARPG from bioware would be amazing im sure.  im looking forward to see what they do now that they are pretty much done with the halo series.

also lost planet 2 looks amazing!  was lost planet 1 any good?

LP1 was alright. I'm getting LP2 for the co-op and it looks frickin awesome!

Wow.....more dlc and no patch, somehow I'm not surprised, looks like it's officially time to give up on this game. I have no patience left for this sh*t, I'm pissed off that I wasted so much money on this game to begin with, but it's a mistake that I won't be making again. Good job Bioware/EA my most loved dev is now one of my most hated, hope the money is worth all the fans you've lost by ignoring us.

I'm waiting for the devs to come back onto this sub-forum to tell us they are looking into fixing the game. They should be here to cut and paste their template response any minute now....

im right there with you man... alot of new games coming out, just makes sense to trade in a game i cant play anyway... not even sure if would want to play it now even if they did fix it.  how much do you think we can get for DA:O at gamestop?

worst part is, those of us who are fed up enough to walk away, are probably a very small fraction of the fanbase... they wont even notice we are gone... not that they notice we have been here posting the same **** for 7 months either.  sombody has to see this though right?  in my mind i picture a bioware employee sitting at a desk reading this, and laughing at us.

Exactly, EA/BW is taking the ******, just showing a impressive lack of respect for their clients. Of course there are the ones who said "I've got no problems", well, keep playing.... but for us, specially the console owners. EA/BW is flipping the finger right in front of our faces... they prefer to launch a new DLC instead of fixing the game!!! . This game is not a cheap one and every single console client pays twice the price of one PC client, albeit others PC gamers can pirate the game...

What is happening here id very disturbing, if I was a EA/BW executive I would be climbing the walls because this game is not generating the profit I expected and besides it is giving very bad reputation to the company, I wonder if it is only part of a political game looking to destroy BW.... if I was a BW employee, I would stop laughing.

Believe me, you might think all these "whining and moaning" is nothing, but we are also a small part of the many clients who are not in this forum who you are losing, I've noted here in the UK the quantity of second hand DAO games put to sale in the Game shops... this is really affecting EA/BW...

I really don't think EA cares what happens to Bioware, they are simply their cash cow for the moment, and once their rep is ruined and they've lost their fans EA will toss them aside. They are simply rushing out as much product as possible to cash in as much as possible before people realize that they don't give a f**k about us.

As some of us have realized though, we're a small portion of the community and they could care less about us leaving the game and refusing to buy their games in the future because so many people will just mindlessly buy anything that says Bioware on the box, even if it is a buggy piece of sh*t. The fact that this continues to happen means that they will never be forced to actually invest in good support practices for their games. Why spend money to fix it when people buy up every useless DLC and jump at every stupid little contest they have. It's just amazing how many people either can't see, or refuse to see that these things are nothing but smokescreen to hide the fact that over six months later they haven't done sh*t to fix the game, and everything to get more money and publicity from us. I mean a contest, which didn't include a majority of the community, where you have to spam links on facebook and twitter, seriously?! I remember how mad people were until we got the hollow sounding scripted "apology" and then most of those people went crawling right back, it was very depressing to see how easily people bought that bs.

A few months later and no sign of the "contest" they were gonna have for the people excluded from the first one, instead more DLC because people have seemingly forgotten how little EA/Bioware cares about it's fans these days, and they might as well cash in while people will still mindlessly buy anything they toss out. As far as I'm concerned, it's way too late for a patch, which, if it ever comes out will most likely fall way short of what's actually needed, it will probably just make the game ready for the next DLC/expansion with maybe one or two small fixes. It may not happen any time soon, but their lack of support will eventually come back to haunt them if people would actually open their eyes to what's going on, but until people stop mindlessly buying DLC etc and mindlessly supporting them with their fanboy bs we'll never see anything change.

Maybe I should start my own countdown for Bioware, fix the game before the DLC comes out or I'm selling it. 12 days left...

I was just checking out the new DLC thread and I can't believe how many people still blindly support these guys. Image IPB
Although it was nice to see a string of people asking them to actually fix the game before more dlc on the thread . Sadly we are a small percentage of their sales, and for the most part they won't even notice that we're gone, but it seems that more and more people are beginning to see that we are not getting any support for this game whatsoever. People are realizing that bioware is not the same one that we've all loved for so many years, it's just part of EA now and has adopted the same sh*tty, non-existant standards for quality, and the same attitude about support. It just amazes me how people still blindly defend them after all this time, saying "they said they were working on a fix" , well sure they said that, six months ago, then again four months ago, than again three months ago etc.... saying it doesn't mean sh*t, simply saying that then ignoring us for another month or two just shows us that it was simply PR to get us to vote for them or buy their new DLC/expansion. 11 days left, wonder how much I can actually get for this bug-ridden mess, probably not much since there's bound to be stacks of them already.....

Mate, there was even one asking if xbox owners really have these probs... The most annoying thing about those people is that the bugs ARE A FACT, they just keep defending EA/BW... I used to feel sorry for people like that, but after a time, you learnt that they got what they asked for...

You said it is sad to be only a small part of DAO clients, but we are not a small part compared with the console owners, but never deny the power of the word of mouth and the viral networking... when people ask you about DAO on Xbox and PS3, you can say it is crap and show all these postings.

Pity on BW because they are going be left to dead... the figures are there, there is not a real statement on regards the DAO sales apart for the initial one, 6 months have passed and if there was an increase of sales, they would have announce a new sales statement, true is, the DAO sales are decreasing.... they wish they could be like in Borderlands: sales increase after 3 months, the formulae is simple: they DID FIX the game, I just give this advice to the BW sales and marketing people, if none of your geniuses haven't deciphered why... ^_^

Yeah, Borderlands had it's bugs, but they were fixed in a timely manner and they still continued to release DLC. I just can't comprehend how a huge company like EA cannot simply spend a sliver of the huge profits they make to actually fix the buggy games they put out. If they actually invested in good QA testing and fixed bugs they would be very well like by gamers everywhere, but as it stands now they are greedy f**kers who care only about profits and nothing about their games. Once the game is out the door they're already onto the next one, which is evident by the total lack of fixes we've gotten for this game.

I appears now companies are more worried about comments on Twitter. Forums are dead to hardcore players. How about each of us post a comment about Bioware and Dragon Age bugs on twitter?

I can't stand twitter or I would, but I guess that's where everyone is now. Everything now is twitter this or facebook that, I can't stand all that stuff, I don't know why, but I just don't. I guess the companies can focus on it since they can get free advertising from people, like that contest they had that got people to spam links and sh*t.

Seems the support is the same for ME2, just went back to the thread about text size that I looked at months ago, and still no word on that, and it seems that the new dlc, which includes pre-order items, is buggy as hell like much of the dlc we've seen for DA. I really hope they wake the f*ck up soon, because they are losing more fans by the day. They make some good games too, but they don't do sh*t to support them which turns them into ok games at best if you can actually get them to work properly without the bugs f*cking up the game...

Eight days left and nothing about any fixes coming, I wonder if they'll release another 1.03-like patch that really fixes nothing and breaks things even more. It's sad looking at the new dlc thread and seeing how many people are just going to grab this right away like every other little piece of dlc they toss us. Although it is nice seeing how many people would like some real fixes for this game before spending more money on dlc, hopefully more people will begin to think like that and EA will have to stop preying off those people that mindlessly support them while getting no support in return.

Really EA??....wtf Image IPB
Seems that their greed knows no limits, here they go again with their usual way of looking at things, that being "how can we make even more money off these fools that buy all our games" and we see what they're doing now. It was bad enough when they started withholding content and then charging for it, blaming it on piracy of course, when it was simply greed since they get no part of used game sales. Then it was basicly selling cheat codes in-game like skill points in NHL 10, the whole cerberus network thing for ME2 for the most part, now they even want a piece of the money that microsoft and sony get for people who pay to play online already. (playstation network/xbox live) So not only will people have to pay for that, but if they don't buy the game new, when all the profits go to EA, they will be paying an extra $10 just to be able to play online.....f*cking sickening.
I'm at the point now where I'll never buy another game from EA and will actually go out of my way to make sure others don't either, their greed is just f*ckin sad. They are single-handedly ruining this industry with their greed and bug-filled products and all the mindless fanboys who buy up all their sh*t and mindlessly defend a company that doesn't give a f*ck about them just encourage this horrible behavior. They hide behind the EULA, which lets them release a game filled with as many bugs as they want, then they don't have to do sh*t to fix it legally, which as we've seen, they don't.
There is no one to hold them acountable except us, the EULA doesn't do sh*t for us, only helps them. Sadly most people either don't care enough, are so used to this behavior that they don't notice anymore, or mindlessly defend them, that the ones who actually want them held accountable are a minority, and therefore ignored for the most part.
The last six months has seen my favorite game developer become one that I could really care less about now because they were bought by a greedy as f*ck company that cares nothing for it's fans or games, only the bottom line, which has in turn carried over to BiowEAre and ruined their name for a lot of people. Their greed blamed on the piracy arguement just makes no sense, if someone can pirate the game they can just as easily get the extra content, and no I'm not condoning piracy, it's just an example to back up my point. The fact that so many people buy this total bullsh*t explanation is just astounding, are so many people really that blind to what is going on?, or do so many not care? I'm just shocked that all the people who buy these games don't demand better service and support. Anyways that's my rant for today.....
7 days left BiowEAre, fix the game!

Yea, I read that earlier. It's a big slap in the face to us as consumers. You're right, greed at it's best. I hope a good amount of people stick it to EA by flat out not buying their games.

But anyway, six months and still no patch for bugs in their original game has me a little sad. I bought Awakening, but I still have yet to even open it because I can't finish the character in Origins that I would like to import.

I was lucky enough to realize that they weren't gonna do sh*t to fix the game in time to cancel my preorder of the overpriced expansion, I was already considering it because of the price, and when I saw that no fixes were coming that was enough for me. The sad part about what EA is doing is that so many people will not only pay the money, they will agree that it's a good idea and mindlessly defend them.
We live in an age of nickle and diming taken to extremes, I mean just look at xbox live, 400ms points ($5-6) for a lightsaber or outfit for an avatar that does nothing? really? I remember when dlc was cheaper too a few years ago, people were pissed off about the horse armor for Oblivion which was like 200 points I think, now they don't even blink when paying 4 times that for dlc that takes an hour or two at most.
Sadly I doubt that enough people will ever stop buying EA's games, even with all the bugs and content left out to be used as dlc, people are just used to this bs and EA takes full advantage of it. Oh well, time to move on, this game really isn't worth the hassle, there's a lot of good games out there with a fraction of the bugs that this has and much better support than we see from EA/Bioware.

Hmmm, been a few posts by devs today, I gues this is the start of the PR blitz before the new dlc, already seen the "patch is being worked on, but no ETA" line a few times. Sadly there was a small title update which is only for the dlc and only if you bought the disk of awakenings, which means there's f*ck all being fixed before the dlc yet again....

I just don't have the words anymore for my disappointment, I can't believe all the people that are quoting the same line they've been feeding us for over six months as "proof" that there's a patch coming. We've heard nothing from them since awakenings, now we get the same line right before the new dlc, then we will get silence again until the next dlc. I mean how many times can this same cycle go on before people realize that it's just PR to get them to buy more dlc?

Exactly
Maybe if they ever patch the game I'll pick it up from the bargain bin, or the expansion if it's ever fixed, but I'm not gonna bother with pre-ordering anymore. From what this game has taught me it'll be a good idea to wait at least a few months before even considering buying their games, which I do in a lot of cases, but in this case I didn't because I though better of Bioware. Red Dead Redemption looks realy fun and it's out in 4 days, UFC 2010 a week after that, so I guess this game can be the coaster for my beer while I play a way less buggy game from a compnay that will actually fix it. The sad part is I took this game to the stoe when I went to rent a game the other day and found out that I'd get less than $20 trading it in......there were too many copies. Guess it will be yet another game collecting dust on the shelf.....

There many excuses and the same old song "patch is being worked on". Under the industry standards in the Xbox games, 6 months to deliver a patch is too long!, even with Fallout 3, the patch took 3 months and people were very upset. From all the Xbox games I've got, these BW/EA titles have the worst support. I'm just waiting for Alpha Protocol at the end of the month.

I spent around GBP100, between games and dlcs for EA/BW and it's been a waste of money, specially after the comments made by Mr. Woo on doing us a favour on fixing these products. I never heard such an arrogant and idiotic comment from an organisation. I do believe that buying a product you support that organisation, but I shall not support a group of lazy and arrogant tossers...My only regret is that I could have spent that money in a decent game and organisation...

Just don't buy future games/dlc. Best way to impress your feelings about their game "support".
