That post means nothing to me. Same old we're working on it crap but it takes time bs. I'm assuming they just started working on it then? After 7 months of flat-out ignoring us. Hell I don't even remember how to play the game anymore. Would have been nice to get this patch (which still hasn't happend, lets not forget that) back when I really needed it. I guess what i'm trying to say is their efforts are simply too late. Even if they released this patch tomorrow I would still be utterly disappointed from the total neglect they gave us for so long. As the above poster i'm expecting them to fix every major bug in origins/awakening before I can even consider purchasing awakening or any other bioware game for that matter.

Yeah, I gotta agree that it's too little too late, it would be nice to see it patched though so every once in a while when I'm bored I can play the game for a bit, but I'll believe this new patch when I see it.

They ignored us for seven months unless it was to give us the same line about looking into fixes, and even then it was only when new dlc was coming out, so yes they ignored us. Until I actually see the patch and have it working, I will simply see this as more damage control due to the fact that they are more aware of how many fans they've lost, and how pissed off people are from the lack of any fixes in eight months. I don't like to be so negative, but from what I've seen so far I have no reason to believe anything they say without solid info, simply saying it's being worked on, yet again, after so many times hearing that just doesn't inspire confidence. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see the game fixed, I've been waiting eight months to make my archer, might even pick up the expansion if I find it cheap, but all that depends on if they will actually fix the game, not just a few tweaks that should have been done seven months ago, but some real fixes. At least there's a small glimmer of hope left for this game, but that won't last long without some results on their part.

Well, either this is more PR or they may actually be fixing the game.....only took eight months to start a thread. I think this may be too little too late though for many people. I mean the fix for dex has been there since the first week this game was out, why did it take almost eight months to even mention giving us this fix? It is nice that save corruption is being looked into, hopefully they address all the ways that it happens, not just vendors. Sadly though there is no timeline at all, and after eight months of hearing the same thing I'm guessing many people will be very skeptical until they actually have the patch.....whenever that is.
This should have been done months ago as far as I'm concerned, they spent all their time and resources on dlc and marketing bs instead of spending some of it on fixing the game. Myself, I can't even remember the last time I played this game, too busy playing games that don't require hours of research to find workarounds. I have my doubts about how much this new patch will actually fix, I'm pretty sure that there is a size limit on patches done through xbl, so that right there is very limiting, that is also why I'm disappointed that we have gotten nothing sooner.
It will be interesting to see where they go with this, hopefully we will see results, and soon, and it won't be months of hearing the same sh*t, only posted in a topic instead of a random post on a thread.

Or maybe there's a shiny new DLC, Danny.

Yeah, was wondering about that too, new dlc or expansion, or maybe some new contest. Who knows though, until I actually see what is in this new patch I'll remain skeptical, not to mention we have absolutely no idea when it will be released. At least there's a small glimmer of hope for this game, but how long that will last is up to them and how they proceed.

That's all I keep saying too. Whatever happens next is the finishing blow. As long as that list of FIXED bugs grows and I actually FEEL like progress exists then maybe......just maybe.

But I swear to the maker if they announce more merchandise or another DA DLC......

Agreed, if this turns out to be just more PR bullsh*t I'm gonna be very angry, as it is this is really too little too late, but since the game isn't even worth trading in, gotta hope it gets fixed. I worry that the fixes will be a long time coming though, and I have a bad feeling that the thread will just keep going for months, unless of course they lock it from too many people calling bullsh*t on this patch. I know that there's new dlc for ME2 coming out in a week or so, so maybe it is PR because many people here have both games.
Whatever the reason though, it was nice to actually see a real post about fixes, but that only bought them a short reprieve, if they f*ck this up they will lose A LOT more fans than they already have.

Wow, a real patch a three weekly updates, I'm shocked.   Image IPB
I'm guessing that this will be the first, and last, real  patch we'll see for the 360 though. Supposedly DA2 is being announced at E3, and with a 2011 release they must be putting a lot of resources into it, not to mention ME3 and ToR. I do wonder though about the release date of this patch since it will have to go through microsoft before we see it, and not sure if there is more being added as well, it wasn't clear on the last post by Victor.
Not that it really matters though, this game has already been sitting on my shelf for months collecting dust, and will continue to do so until this patch comes out, been playing new games instead of this one that aren't as buggy. It would be nice though to play this again and make a pure archer that actually does some real damage, but I'm not even sure that will be doable since it only mentions daggers when talking about a dex fix and no one seems to know anything about the bows.
Either way, it's nice to see a bit of communication on their part, that's one of the main things we've been asking for, besides some fixes of course, hopefully they will learn from this game and have better communication in the future.
It would be nice if EA would learn something about tact though, announcing a new dlc when announcing a patch with an unspecified release date is really not the best idea consiering what we've seen for eight months in terms of fix annoucements and dlc. Image IPB
