You know that datapad with reaper info that Shepard is holding at the end of ME2? Do you think that the council will finally do something about it or will they have another smart ass remark?

I could honestly see the turian calling it a fake.

I imagine they will act like they never denied or ignored the evidence, or they'll say they were just keeping quiet to avoid causing panic. Or they'll just sweep it under the rug, and continue to pretend there was never an issue, you know - like real politicians.

I vote for that one.

I don't think real politicians really sweep issues under the rug that often. If anything, they tend to go for option #1. I'm hoping the Council comes around but it may come down to a paragon/renegade conversation challenge in ME3.

You haven't seen much of Australia's politicians then have you?
But you're right, they would lean more towards the latter.

Hey, I'd be happy if they just let us biotically trip the turian councillor and make him fall flat on his face. Kinda like Bastila did to Mission in KOTOR.

Might be momentarily amusing (for those whose characters... you know, have biotics, which not all of them do), but I wholly doubt it would help us win the Council's support. I think even Anderson would disapprove.

Eh, my favorite Shepard doesn't have biotics, anyway...but I wasn't wholly serious. ;)

No one denies that the Reapers, as ships, exist. Showing a picture of one doesn't change that already valified conclusion.

What the Council denies is that the Reapers are part of the galactic genocide cycle, as opposed to being possibly AI ships created by the Geth. A datapad showing that 'wow, it's a ship' doesn't fix that, besides that datapads are about as hard to forge as copying someone's homework.

Turian Councilor dismisses datapad.

Renegade Shep response(we'd ALL say this): Are you a f---ing idiot?

Come on, at least ONCE can Shep drop the F-bomb?

Showing proof that they are made out of nations might be something else however. And there is a good chance that datapad has that info.

We know exactly how they will react: "Ah yes, Reapers. The immortal race on sentient Starships supposedly waiting in darkspace. We have dismissed that claim." Until Palavan is destroyed and the Terminus systems ablaze with the Reapers on their way to reclaim the Citadel the council will continue ignoring Shepard. Why? Because they're tossers.

The Turian Councilor will slap it out of your hand and say it's wrong.

Why is it proof? Anything and everything on the data pad can be fabricated. Your source is a Cerberus AI program. The messenger is, once again, Shepard, who died once and was brought back with who knows what alterations from Cerberus. All three facets make for compromised intelligence.

You speak of proof. Prove that the datapad isn't faked.

If he actually did that, I'd completely lose control of myself and jump on him and beat the hell out of him.
Or, if he's a hologram, I would beat the hell out of that.
(Sorry, I just really hate that guy.)

Why would Shepard even bother with the Council again?

Not really. While there are ways to prove that data hasn't been manipulated, there is no way to prove it isn't fabricated (ie, fake). Especially if you did the inconvenient tidbit about destroying the Collector Base.

How good would it be if the turian councelor will be the one that would finally believe and help you.The turians build the thannix cannons.

I just could not believe that their leader is that stupid. Maybee just use a chance to increase the power of the turian race.

One sound recording was enough to revoke Saren's spectre status. They obviously checked wether it is fake or not.

Now that would be awesome.

Yeah I was disappointed Shepard didn't go back to the Council at the end of the game. At the least they would have to believe the readings that the Collectors were Protheans. That's kind of important...

Like everyone said that the datapad could be fake, though I'm sure they have experts who could tell it wasn't. After all EDI can deconstruct signals and see if they are fake.
